If you are interested please shoot me a pm and we can talk details.

I am wanting to use ura burl and Gabon ebony with a cored forearm and a slim profile to the cue and a finished weight at or just under 18oz with around a 19.5-20 balance point. I am also looking to have this cue produce a very firm hit when matched with a set of z2 shafts.

I am open to ideas as well but I want this cue to be clean and simple and I really would like to use this combo of woods..

I truly thank everyone who might want to take this xmall venture on and I am looking for to many a conversations to get this weapon built..

take care always..

I have to say that i have built a lot of cues out burls but, I haven't used URA BURL before. What does it look like. Any pics? By the way this would be a real challenge.

You are asking for a Sneaky which seems to mean full splice, but then you mention cored forearm. Are you wanting a Full splice cue out of cored wood?

I've never heard of ura burl. Including the botanical name of the wood you're after is a big help as common names are misleading as to what wood you want sometimes.

Here is a picture of an Omen cue I found in the Wanted/For Sale Section using the "ura burl" if this is a different wood I like it and don't know what it is. I do like the darker highly figured burls.

As for the coring of the full splice. I was wanting to use a phenolic to set the joint pin into and have this piece also be the collar at the joint. All suggestions are welcome. I am not a cue builder and I won't act like I am. I just know I want this this to hit "very stiff".

The overall layout I would like to have is a black joint-dark burl forearm-very dark ebony 4 point handle-dark burl butt sleeve(maybe around 3")- black butt cap. also I would like to have some square blocks to match the ebony placed near each joint and matching on the shafts..

If it would make it easier to try and figure out what I have no idea what i am talking about please shoot me a pm and I will call you when it is convenient for you..

Thanks.'

That may be Thuya burl. Found around Algeria. The burl is located on the root of the tree, underground.

Cored thuya burl forearm with a gaboon handle/frongs under 18 oz with close to 20" balance point and very firm hit?
I'd like to see it.

Then what would you recommend? Like I said I am not a cue builder I do not know these things.. I am open to anything I just really like the way I imagine it but I do understand reality may be a different issue. it does not have to be exactly 18 that is just what I would like. I play very comfortable up to a 19 but nothing more please.

I really appreciate all the inputs, please keep them coming.

Thanks,
Greg

I recommend a merry widow instead.
Core the thuya front and the ebony with heavy tight grain maple.

That is some beautiful wood and the coloring is correct but it doesn't look like any Thuya burl that I've ever worked with. Where's the eyes?

Probably a stabilized dyed burl from Wildwoods.

Does anyone have some good ideas about other alternatives to getting this layout built. I am really open to ideas I just want a jam up player that was built for me..

G10 sneaky with a purpleheart pin

I want to see this....roflmao

I am really trying to get a cue built for me the way I want it with the woods I would like to use. If you are not interested in trying to allow me to work with you to get this built please don't post. There is already enough bs on this site.

For those of you lending a hand "THANK YOU VERY MUCH"..

If there is a better way to go about this let me know and I will try it.

Thanks,
Greg
