JimBo said:I believe that Dale wrecked his own market when he decided to go after the e-bay market with affordable cues. Not to say the cues aren't good, just that the values don't stand up. I think anyone looking at cheap production cues should spend a bit more to get one, I know I picked up a few cheap ones off e-bay, they seemed well built.

I have 1, and recently sold another here on AZ. I bought both many years ago when they were pricey - and the one I sold I didn't get 1/2 of my value back. It played good, but don't get one as an investment. You could probably get a used one dirt cheap if you wanted a bang around cue.LastTwo said:Or anyone who has seen many of his cues, please PM me.
I know of a local player who had a fancy DP.
He retired it in favor of a Prewitt sneaky pete.
He was happy to sell it for $300.
Sad.
I have had several DP cues and I have liked them all. They all hit the same, very consistent. I would not buy one for an investment. If you can get one for the right price I would say buy it. I don't understand people knocking production cues. I think some good production cues are every bit as good as a custom cues as far as workmanship and materials. You will get more cue for your money in a production cue than you will with a custom cue. Most custom cues are way over priced. I have had many custom cues and I know what I am talking about.
