anyone work with black palm wood?

If so, do tell. How would you describe working with it, is it expensive and how does it hit?

It's cheap heavy and has interesting grain. Makes an interesting cue. I would recommend coring.

not expensive, plays great, pain to work

i have a cover over my lathe, so turning is no problem, but sanding is splinter hell.
