APA/CPA singles, May 2008 Las Vegas

wow...in our area you would have to be a 7 in 8 ball if you are a 9 in 9ball. Can't have more than a 1 sl difference except in the 7/9 case. Example, if you are a 5 in 8 ball, you can be a 4, 5, or 6 (tops) in 9 ball, and vice versa. I can see how someone could be better at one game than the other, but they (local LO) probably wouldn't allow 6/9....
BTW, I had a teammate (8 ball) who was a 4, but when he got raised to a 6 in 9 ball he was automatically raised to a 5 in 8 ball (even though his record didn't show that he should be).

where do you play out of? I played on one of the teams that went to Vegas (8ball) last summer. Craig Johnson's Dave's team....

APA in your area is a joke Bobby Mcgrath should not even be alowed to play i mean come on isnt he a master player i mean if he playes a 5 he only has to go to 5 in league to win. I will put my house on Bobby with no alcahol to win the single again Jimmy the league Operator dont tell me theres not sandbaging there. I play for his galesburg team we won last sesion and are in first now and i can tell you no one in peoria or pekin knows the speed of the players here, but our 7's do know your hot shots up there its sad when the referee who shoots a sporty game does not go up
i have a guy here who won the first week in front of Jimmy and some lady who runs it with him the kid started as a4 he one his first match 3 to 0 they moved him up to a 5 he has one 1 of his last 8 matches another player played as a 7 for 2 sessions with a winninfg record he is now a 6
got to love APA. AMERICAN SANDBAG LEAGUE

I just started APA this Spring. I hope to see you'll in Vegas, but it won't be this year.
My team is one point behind first place, but the 3rd place team is one point behind us. It is getting down to the nitty gritty with five weeks to go.
I'm holding 5th place in our Top Gun placement and I'm captain. I've been staying at Sk Lvl 4 for the whole season, but I practice 3 to 5 times a week. That will probably go up.
I've been running with the philosophy that it is smarter to be lucky, than it is lucky to be smart, or good in this case. We're having fun anyway.
You'll have a great time and win that $$$, this year. I'm eating my spinach and plan/hope to be there next year.
