APA team 8-ball in Vegas-anybody going?

Anybody going?

We finally won our first City Championship Tournament last week and are heading to Vegas in August.

I've been out there twice with my wife who qualified with an APA Ladies team. I played in some minis and actually won one,

I would love to hear from anyone who is going or anyone who has been there and done that.

We don't have our Vegas LTC's here for another 3 weeks. I have 2 handicap teams and a Masters team in it. Hopefully one of them make it.
 
Wally...Been there, done that...but as a League Operator! Good luck to your team. Have fun...that's what's most important. Good to see you posting! :thumbup:

I'll let ya know in a few weeks...both my 8-ball and 9-ball teams are going to our state tournament.

Good luck to everyone competing in their cities/states!
 
Been there a couple of times we played last year made 9th out of 744 teams.If your team is really going to give it a run be prepared to do nothing but shooting good luck.
 
not til next month. not sure how mush of it i will be there for due to work and im the highest ranked player and captain. :mad:

congrates...spend some time in the practice room playing with others for fun..there are some really nice folks that play league..then there are the spoilers..hope you enjoy yourself..good shooting.

Even if you don't win your qualifer you should think about going anyway, it's a great time. Play some mini's, make some connections, check out that bar on the Cosmopolitan. Its' great to go and compete, but for the pool junkie its' a blast

Thanks everyone for the responses and may you all get good rolls. We got some good rolls this time around and that's part of the reason we finally won, after playing bridesmaid at least 3 times in 13 tries.

Look me up. I'll be the tall guy.

whuich one? There are 5 bars on the casino floor level alone
 
I'll be there with my 9 ball team in August. Our area will play it's 8 ball regionals in two weeks and hopefully we win that one too.

Thanks for the well-wishes.

I had good feelings about it a couple months ago, lately not so much.

My 8-ball team is the weaker of the two, but we have a shot. I had a great feeling about our 9-ball team, but the great handicap monster has hamstrung us. Oh well, just means I have to play more. Not sure that is a good thing :p

We play on 9-footers all year, and have to play on 7-foot diamonds at states. There are no 7-footers within 45 minutes to even practice on, and its a valley.

It's good to even get the chance.
 
Have one shot in 8 Ball. Qualifiers for our City's this Sunday. Finals next week. Not holding my breath but.... if we win, I'll be back in Vegas :happydance: ! Perhaps this time I'll pay attention.

Our team won its first match last night 3-2 (old scoring format for LTC's) I couldn't make a ball if my life depended on it. Didnt like the place we played at. No carpet, floors were slick as snail snot, air vent blowing right in your face.
