If you are ranked a 7 in the apa what level player is that considered? I was told a B is that true?

In what, 8 ball or 9 ball? I obviously assume you mean 9ball since 8ball only goes to 7 and you range anywhere from B through A. I would say in 9ball a 7 could be anywhere from mid-level C to low B. There are some 7's in my APA league who are not that good. I mean, sure they play fine on a 7ft barbox, but then when they play on a 9ft they can't run 3 balls.

I've found it's a wide range.I would have to say being a 7 you would be a bit better than a ''B'' player though.just my 2 cents:smile:

probably a solid B player...you could also be AAA barely maintaining amateur status though. When you get to the top of the handicap scale that has the most variation of skill out of all the rankings for sure.

it does vary alot. last night we played and the team dodge me by not playing the 7 on me. so my 5 played him the last game. good thing too, he broke and ran 4 rack to only scratch for a 5th brake and run by about an inch!! 5 games 1 ining.. i would say he is on the high end. why they dodged me i have no idea. there 6 i played didnt have much of a chance either.

Anywhere from a C player to an A player....would say most are B, but some 7's are weaker than others....and some are a strong A.....depends on their competition in the area...

I'll just add to what everyone else has already said. If we are talking 8ball 7's are usaully b players.

I'm a 7 in 8ball and I play sporty. For the most part I have a winning % against 7's, however there are 10-20 peeps in my region who are 7's too who could spot me a game, HELL a few of them could spot me two or even three games! LOL. It sucks playing them and getting no weight. Those guys usually beat me 5-2 5-3 scores. But every now and then this old dog gets em. Just like every now and then a weaker 7 or sometimes a 6 will get me.

Same thing goes for 9's in 9ball.
