APB on ABP Code of Conduct....

I think it is high time for the ABP to issue a code of conduct if they want Professional Pool to be taken seriously.... Any member should have to sign the code of conduct and adhere to the code in all public situations especially in tournaments and challenge matches.....

Violations of the code could actually be fined and the ABP would have a nice operating budget and likely some left over for a big tournament at year end based upon the attitudes and actions of many of their members..... :yeah:

If you started fining pro poolplayers "a thousand bucks" for doing what many of them have been doing for years, pretty soon you won't be able to look around and find a pro poolplayer. They'll find something else to do. The money in pool is way too small to start imposing large fines on them for unsportsmanlike conduct.

And....you should never, ever take a post of mine as seriously as you must have. Didn't the little smiley-face with the thumbs up mean anything to you ?

Even if they imposed a fine, what's there to enforce it? Anyone can enter an open tournament, ABP or not. Invitationals aren't based on membership to the club either.

Oh the other small glitch ... leaders lead by example. So far, I'm not inspired.
 
While we would all like them to police themelves, I don't see this as an important issue right now.

They are probably defunct.

After the debacle last year of trying to boycott a tournament, they probably just said screw it, it was a stupid idea.

They had no leadership and it was organized and lead by pool players....ROFL

Should have hired someone to do all the talking for them.
