Appleton, Deuel, Filler, Orcullo, Shaw, and Van Boening !!!

take what you make more of, yes, yes

also -- 8 on break wins, BIH behind the line after a breaking foul, no jump cues

I don’t like the ‘take what you make’ rule at this level......
These are some of the best players in the world....
...the rules should be elitist and cater to the most skill.

This ain’t the APA

I give up, oldzilla loser without the balls to respond
lol

How is this spamming......there’s a great pool show going on.....
...AZ should know about it.

I’m cheering for Corey...too bad he and Justin aren’t on the Mosconi team.

Corey is playing some great pool right now, it's too bad he's not on the team.

Lol...take what you make caters to the most skill. Open after the break is WAY easier!! Take what you make means you have to break better with better cueball control, and often have to come with big shots after the break.

Is there anyone playing better pool than Corey at the moment? So, so good these days.

Shame he's not on the Mosconi cup team

It is Much harder with take what you make. Ask any pro. johnnyt

Corey is having a long flashback to his best years. Johnnyt

PS: Good guy and god for pool IMO.

How are ties determined for 2nd place for the right to play the in the finals?

The first tie breaker was total number of games won.

Shaw has finished at 3-2 in matches. One of Orcollo and Filler will also finish at 3-2 in matches. But Shaw has won 45 games. The most Orcollo can win is 44, and the most Filler can win is 39. So Shaw has already clenched a spot in the playoff match with Deuel (who will finish at 5-0 or 4-1).

didn't realize they wee doing a top 2 play in the finals format

so Corey if he loses to Shaw will have the better record in the round robin but not the title

interesting format I guess and fair enough

that might mean corey is facked

additionally, from my understanding the winner of the 8 ball is guaranteed to be in the tourney finals, so their results in straight pool are meaningless?

The 8-Ball and the 14.1 are two completely separate events (with the same 6 players in each one), with a playoff match in each event, but no further playoff between the two playoff winners.
