Aramith Tournament Balls

Hi AZers,

I recently bought a set of Aramith Tournament Pro-Cup TV balls but I am not sure how genuine they are.

It came in a shrink wrap with Aramith prints on it.

I have yet to hit with the balls but they look good and sound like how Aramith balls should sound like when colliding. The balls all weigh between 5.9 to 6oz each.

The only flags that I have is that the "TV Pro-Cup" words on the box is actually a transparent backing sticker rather than printed on the box. Also, when I opened the box, there are no advertising materials (booklets etc) that usually come with previous Aramith balls I bought. As this is my first set of Tournament balls, I am not sure if this is the norm.

I have tried contacting Saluc but have yet to hear back from them.

Anyone had similar experiences?

99.99% chance you have something other than authentic Aramith balls. Every Pro Cup ball set they make comes in a full color storage box.

counterfeiting is rampant, so making sure you're dealing with authorized dealers is very important.

I got it from China Billiards. I saw a review on some Cyclops balls sold by them here on AZB and decided to go with them.

The box is full colour. Just that the words TV Pro cup us stickered and does not include advertising material inside the box.

How do I post pictures?

I'm confused. You bought Aramith or Cyclops? China Billiards? Never heard of them. Got a link? I'm smelling a knock-off to be honest.

Where did you buy them from and how much?

If you can confirm they sold knock-off Cyclop's, I think you should be able to make the correct assumption NOT to deal/buy from them, unless you found this out after it was too late. If you look at the Seyberts website, they'll show the actual box the balls come in. If they didn't indeed come in that box, you may have a problem. You are correct - every new set of Aramith balls I've ever purchased, even down to their lower priced standards, always come with a small Aramith booklet enclosed inside the box.

Yes this is the site.

I contacted them and they told me they are one of the official retailers for Aramith in China.

I gave them the benefit of doubt and requested they get Aramith to write me a letter of authenticity. If I don't hear back from Aramith by the next few weeks I will lodge a dispute with paypal.

I had a hit of the balls they hit very well. The finish on the balls are great. If they are fakes, I definitely cannot tell them apart from the originals.

I would contact Aramith ASAP. Don't wait. Also alert PAYPAL that there might be fraud involved.

I just checked this site. They don't list ANY Aramith pool balls now. One set of snooker balls is it. This deal may have spooked them.
