Archer-Strickland IPT Drama???

If this has already been talked about I' sorry for rehashing. In the final seconds of this video there is a heated exchange between Archer and Strickland and Archer misses an absolute hanger that my daughter couldn't miss.

I think it was faked.:scratchhead: What say you?
 
Earl: "Shoot man!", Another classy comment from the boob tube. And they are supposed to be friends. I like what Johnny said to him. "Shut Up!"
 
Well, I remember the exchange from the match, but I don't remember if Archer missed that shot immediately following the exchange. Either way, it perked my ears up a bit when it happened. Earl spent a lot of that match talking, and if I remember correctly, that was before they moved the commentators to a booth, so Earl spent a lot of time talking to the commentators as well.

The one thing I wish the IPT would do with those broadcasts is let the players' voices come through a bit more. They've got them mic'd, but so often the commentators end up talking over whatever the players are saying. Kinda defeats the purpose if you ask me.

Earl can't stand slow play, he was behind, and Archer was taking a long time to shoot......

Earl Strickland, what a guy huh ? I've seen more class out of a $2 bar maid working in a sweaty, no name dive, operating on it's third pardon from the health department .

I just wonder what the reaction would be if any player at a major tournament shouted out to his opponent "Shoot man!". Do you think the TD would say anything or give him a warning? Do you think the fans would boo the player?

Only Earl seems to get a pass on this kind of behavior. He has somehow made it acceptable to complain, criticize and lash out at anyone and everyone while he is competing. Sorry, no passes from me.

Agreed especially a pro should respect the opponent complain to someone after the match if you must but it wont do any good.:grin-square:
