What terrible devastation in Joplin, Mo... unbelievable. My prayers go out to everyone there.

I just got off the phone with Danny Harriman. Danny arrived home yesterday and he and his family are doing okay. He did say that he had some more storms coming through. Danny told me that because of the devastation, it is nearly impossible to contact anyone in the Joplin area.

It's been a rough spring in Missouri. A storm knocked my power out yesterday and I was feeling sorry for myself until I heard what happened in Joplin. On the radio they said the death toll was the second highest ever in Missouri.

Joplin is hurtin'

Serveral of my friends were effected by this horrendous act of nature and more turbulent weather is on the way. I'm thankful that all those I know are still alive today, but nobody will be the same afterwards. If any of you know Patrick Brown, Jarrid Easton, Jerry Reardon, James Meek, etc...basically all the pool playin' population in that town is going to be hurting either directly or indirectly due to the devestation of these deadly tornados. 89 have been confirmed dead at the current time, but that number will rise as rescue workers discover more in the coming days most certainly. Pray for all of this cities inhabitants folks, as life for most will never be the same.

Patrick's wife's place of employment was destroyed and he's gonna be hurting of course due to the lack of income, but he's also got four of his friends who've lost their houses as well and is accepting donations for all of them if anyone wants to help out their fellow man. He is a man of absolute honor and integrity so please don't even think it's a scam or BS in anyway. He's also one of the best "action" guys in Joplin and is great for the game so I hope some of you who read this will join me in helping out anyway you can. Please don't abuse it, but his phone number is: (913)731-7100. Thanks for your time and I hope he gets the help he needs for himself and those he cares for as I'm sure we all want the same for all who have been and will be touched by this tragedy.

Be nice to have Tramp Steamer and Underclocked check in.

Underclocked checked in on another site.

My oldest step-daughter, Christal, lives and works as a nurse in Joplin. Luckily she had been up here yesterday and was on her way back down there when the tornado struck. I told her to get back here and spend the night but she is one dedicated little gal. She drove in as far as she could, then walked 40+ blocks to first her home and then on to where she works. Her home is mostly destroyed and there is severe damage to her workplace. She said the walk was a nightmare, with dead bodies laying here and there.

But she is okay.

We kept losing communication with her and of course were freaking out all the while worrying about her. She was telling us that she was there at her workplace and helping with evacuation of their patients when her phone battery finally went dead.

It's getting bad in this area again this morning with severe storm watches and warnings covering a good part of the area. Mike Bettes, a storm chaser with the Weather Channel, has broke down into tears more than once and has said this is the worst devastation he has ever seen. His live feed is at http://beta.weather.com/tv/tvshows/Livestream - not much going on there now as they had to get in the vehicles due to another storm rolling through.

X-rays, medical records, and all kinds of light debris have been falling from the skies as far as 75-80 miles from the tornado's path. It's estimated that some of that stuff went as high as 18,000 feet before falling back to the ground.

Tramp posted here at 6:44 this morning.

I am shocked. I watched what was on MSN News.
I can't believe it. The tornado was estimated at being 1/2 to 3/4 of a mile wide. Theres nothing left.

I took this picture in front of my house after the storm, looks almost holy like it's an angel or something.

I'm in Springfield (75 miles slightly NE of Joplin) and we are fine. The storm that devastated Joplin went by a few miles south of us. Jim Barclay, an excellent cue maker who lives in the Joplin area, hasn't reported in so if anyone knows his whereabouts, post it up.
Andy and Vicky Gilbert, who live a few miles South of me are fine, although they would have gotten a lot of wind and rain.
Thanks for asking about us.

I hope this is wrong but K.M.O.V. [OUR CBS affiliate in st.louis] is reporting on there website, 120 dead and 1,500 missing. That's a huge number and you have to pray they start finding some of these people.

Hey Mike, Andy and Vicky Gilbert were still out in Vegas until Monday. The BCA League Championships were goin' on. Like you, I haven't heard anything on Jim Barclay, but I'll post it if and when I do. Sherrie Mason, Dennis' Place manager, is accepting donations of goods that she will arrange to have delivered to the Joplin relief efforts sometime this week or next whenever they allow it. She also has a friend of hers that owns a piece of property that can store what will be needed when the families start to rebuild their homes, i.e. furniture items and such. I talked to her last night and she's trying to get a few trucking companies to volunteer to perform pick ups of larger items as well as trucking all the donations down to the disaster area when allowed. If everyone does just a bit Joplin can be rebuilt physically, but the lasting emotional and mental pain will be forever regardless. So many families lost entirely or broken apart due to a member perishing...too much to even fathom in it's magnitude man.
