Are spring-loaded trick cues very accurate.

quality threads are abundant as of late.

Ps. Perhaps you can use that spring loaded cue in the upcoming bar box events, seems like it would fit in
nicely. Maybe next year it could be a "spring loaded cue only" event, i think the league players would like that.

imagine a spring loaded cue in combimation with the ram shot!!!!!!! Video please!!!!

Don't you mean your stroke? You still have to point (aim) a spring loaded cue in the right direction.

I think he wants to use it in an investigative sense, to see if it's he has either a faulty stroke or a faulty aim. If he pots perfectly with a perfect "stroker", that would eliminate a faulty aim as the source of his misses. Unfortunately, it's probably both.

Ha. I used to waste away some of my high school classes making sketches of spring loaded cues. Has anyone here ever tried one? Do they actually exist?

They do exist , I have seen 2 .
I believe they were made somewhere in Pennsylvania but not positive.
They were pretty terrible. The spring loading tension was not strong enough on the ones I tried , they were bulky and poorly balanced , I think they had rubber tips , not sure if that was original or added.
I doubt you could learn much from them.

spring loaded cues

they are all over the place, i made my first one in the early 70's just for fun. i also made one about 5 years ago and i believe its still in my shop.

believe it or not, they are very accurate. you do not have to worry about stroke, just sight and press the button. i have ran 8b racks many times. BUT about all they are really good for is no english shots, just making balls.

a buddy saw mine and decided we should patent it, so he started checking into it and found they had been patented and made in the early 1900's they have been around for a while, but never really caught on.

The rules I read do not state that spring loaded cues are illegal.
The equipment must meet existing WPA equipment specifications. In general, players are not permitted to introduce novel equipment into the game. The following uses, among others, are considered normal. If the player is uncertain about a particular use of equipment, he should discuss it with the tournament management prior to the start of play. The equipment must be used only for the purpose or in the manner that the equipment was intended

I don't believe it...an intelligent answer. I know my stroke has fatal, never to be fixed, flaws, but I've always suspected my aim is good enough. It would be good to know where the work should be concentrated.
