Are these pool tables junk?

Anyone have any thoughts on these pool tables? I would like to get one for my home but not too sure on the quality but the price is nice.

There are many red flags on their web page. What do you think of the "limited warranty?" It seems not to include cloth, slate or cushions, and only lasts for 30 days.

Ask a local installer if he would be willing to install the table and maintain it for a year. Add that to the cost of the table.

If it indicated what the wood sections are made of, I missed it. The frame looks flimsy to me.

Yeah some Gold Crown tables are going in that range and some less depending on condition etc.., and are much better tables. I would shop around for one of those if it were me. They will last the rest of your life and your kids life, and their kids etc...

junk table?

Where do u live? I have access to some tables similar to the one in the pic for a lot less as well as several GC tables. Also have some basic old pool room tables that need some tlc or I can restore them but that can get pricey. tel: 330 289 3882.

Where's the slate screws attach to? It's looks like they removed the slate attachment blocks from the sill for the pictures..... I'd pass...

New pool tables being sold are never junk tables, they don't get that distinction until after you've bought it, and want to get it worked on at a later date, and even that depends on who you hire to do the work. On a side note, they're the everyday run of the mill tables being brought in from China at a low-ball wholesale price. The side panels of the tables are made out of MDF...in case you don't know what that is, it's medium density fiberboard...or in layman's terms...particale board. Most of these types of pool tables are directed to the "know nothing about pool tables" type of buyer, who's only thought was that the kids would probably like to learn how to play pool, so....lets get them a pool table, but we're not going to spend very much on one because we're not really into it all that much.....and look honey, THAT one looks good, and it's a lot cheaper than the other ones we've looked at, so lets get that one!!!

It'll be in the house for the next 10 years with the same cloth on it, used a little by the kids, but mostly to stack things on...like folding cloths and such.... Then when the kids grow up, the table will be sold on Craig's list very cheap...but no one will end up buying it, so it'll get donated to the Boy's & Girl's club or, given away, donated to a church, or even thrown away, once they find out no one wants it.
