Are you a Cornholer?

That is what they call it and play on Carnival Cruise Lines. Publish it as Cornhole Tournament in their daily rag and do it in the main lobby. I thought they called it that to get some attention and "interest". Never seemed to draw much of either. Whenever I walked by during the sessions the only people playing were members of the entertainment staff.

What did you do on your cruise? Played some cornhole.

I guess it would be a great honor to get home and be able to brag as being the best cornholer on a ship.

To ANSWER selftaut's question ( which is what the purpose of the thread is) YES i play cornhole all the time. As a matter of fact it was invented where i live ( westside of cincy). On tuesday nights they have a pool tournament on the westside, its nine ball and they had 17 players last night. It starts at 6, Then at a bar down the road they have 2 cornhole tournaments on tuesday 1 at 8 and one at 10:30. I went to the 1 at 10:30 and they had 42 players lol.

I personally think it is kinda dumb game but its fun to gamble at you never have to set your beer down!!

DEATH BY CORNHOLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOL

There is a Joke that I've heard.. That is the punchline.
Sorry.. I cant type the joke. I'ts fairly X-Rated :D

Was that one about a tribe somewhere capturing three people?

There are a few versions of this game, many make their own target boards, and you can also buy them, one is called 'baggo'.

I went to a big volkswagen/audi show in Ocean City, MD and the owner of a magazine had made his own with vw related symbols on the boards, he and the owners of a few performance shops were playing and being that i shoot for the magazine sometimes, they asked me to play. I knew many of the shop owners prior, so it was good times.
very good for a drunken pass-time.

Cornhole means a TOTALLY different thing here in the South, it's considered the same as buggery so it would be almost impossible to cornhole yourself.

Ummm... I'm up north and it means the same thing here;)

Conrad Burns was the nuts, not the cornhole

A fellow league player and good friend builds and sells the sets near Austin, TX (he's out of nearby Elgin). At his last party, we even had a late night tournament composed entirely of pool players - went until 3:00am.

He had a sign for it on his truck, but had to remove it as people kept trying to remove it themselves for the misinterpretations mentioned above. He now calls it Bags 'n' Boards. He sells basic, painted sets for $80, high quality materials and craftsmanship.

Anyone interested in a set in the Austin area can PM me and I will get you in touch with him. When the weather's nice, he can be found in Zilker Park tossing bags near the pool. He has a standing deal - if you can get 3 out of 4 tosses through the hole, he'll give you an unpainted set free. He's done 9 in a row himself.

The game is a blast, everyone I've seen play has a hard time stopping and kids love it. My daughter was really happy when I brought a set home.

Chatting with the local room owner the other night, she was looking for ideas for adding new things to the room. I asked her if she ever cornholed, I got the deer in the headlights look :)

Which leads me to wonder if there are any pool players that Cornhole?

http://www.playcornhole.org/

Never cornholed myself.

It figures, that this game was originated where the Movie Deliverance was portrayed, this is just one more instance when country folk are associated with corn-holing!!!!!  :D
