Yes, JB Cases Booth main hall - going to have some KILLER Cases for our tenth anniversary year.

No. Playing on the 8x4 tables makes me feel like I am a 5yo who received a mini-table for Christmas and my parents thinks I am not seeing the difference.

Tables at Expo are bar-sized, not 8x4. I'm a big table guy also but the Diamond box is a lot of fun. I only shoot on boxes about 3 times a year. The Expo is one of them.

I go every year and every year I say I am going to play but I never do. It may have something to do with the hate for 7' tables.

That being said I love this show and my funeral would be the only way I miss it.

Thanks

Kevin

I'll be there too as always. I'll mostly be at Steve Dunkel's booth, stop by and say hello. I'll be the big guy.

I'm going, but just for the expo itself, not to play. Too many days away from work, and I dislike the 7' tables.

I understand the too many days away from work. That is a good reason to not to compete.

Everyone complaining about the barbox really baffles me. I'm just quoting you since you mentioned it and I understand your primary reason for not playing is because of work.

For the rest of you who arent competing for the reason of it being on barbox... why? I'm a big table player too. I barely ever play on the box anymore. The Expo is maybe 1 of 3 times a year (if that) that I shoot competitively on a barbox. Diamond boxes play tough. 4 days on them isint going to ruin your game. Sure it's easier to make balls and run out for your opponent, but it is for you as well.

Every year I go and complete and I come back playing better overall. Never have I ever had a legitimate reason to blame the box for poor play or a loss while I was there.

As I mentioned before, the Expo is the only time I play on 7 footers. At least they are Diamonds with Simonis and the Expo is in my back yard.

This would be my eighth year in a row to SBE, with the roommates, so it's a yearly road trip tradition.

Due to economic reasons, I can't afford to take off Wednesday, Thursday or Fridays like I used to. So, it may be my second year where I don't enter into the Open tournament.

In the past, Thursday,
10:30AM, Players meeting
11AM, Match starts
11:45AM, both matches lost, knocked out of tournament
12PM, start shopping

Maybe this year I'll find that elusive Spinali bridge.

I have one, and a spare in case I lose it. Like gold.

Wow, then you will feel like an infant on the 3.5x7' tables that they use and have always used there! I have yet to see an infant do well in the tourney. So I see your point.

TAP will be there

I will be at the TAP sales booth along with Tommy Kennedy doing challenge matches. Stop by and try your game with the 1992 US Open 9 ball champ and TAP ON!!

I play but only because I'm going to be there the whole time so I might as well play but I hate the single elimination format for various reasons.
