Are you ready for WPBA`s US Open 9 Ball in Albuquerque,NM?

And I don't see Rachel Abbink playing. Does she still have a WPBA card? I know she didn't show up for a tournament in Vegas, and I wondered if she was still allowed to play.

Mike

Mike,
Rachel just won the WPBA Amateur Nationals so she better not be a pro yet!

I am routing for Alice too, she just kicked my but in the finals of the SEAL tourney she was playing awesome, but I got the Qualifer! ;)

Well, if that's the case, I think they should do as baseball did when they created their HOF. You take your best player ever and induct her first. Is Jean Balukas in the house?
Second that!

Last night at 10 o`clock news on NBC clips from Pro-Am were shown. They also showed Jeanett Lee and she said that she was very hungry for a win.
By the way , Jeanett Lee looked like she lost some weight. She looked great as always.
By the way Kelly Fisher also looked like she lost some weight.
What is going on here! Everybody is loosing weight!

They just started posting results from the first round. I'd like it noted that Boonpasook remains undefeated. Ok, so she has yet to play but who cares?

I'm proud of her and not going to hide it. When you see someone pick up a cue for the first and then four years later, they're in the US Open, it's very very cool. I can't take the credit. There have been a bunch of people she's learned from (including me :) ) but I can still enjoy the moment.

Well, Gerry, it looks like your best wishes worked for Mrs. L. in the first round. I am hoping she does well, also. It's her first pro event (how exciting)!

Congratulations to Kathleen Lawless on her victory. I'm pretty sure this is her first WPBA appearance and Alice Rim is a strong player. Kathleen plays in just about every Tiger (Planet Pool) Tour event and is #1 on the 8-ball points list and #4 on the 9-ball list.

Also nice to see Liz Ford winning. She played very well last weekend on the Blaze Tour.

Hey pjadedd! I see your sad face next to Villarreal. I've always liked Vivian's style but I was rooting for Sueyen in that one! Pretty big win for Sueyen. We'll see if Vivian tears through the one-loss side.

Congratulations to Kathleen on her first WPBA apperance and her first match win. :D :D :D

She was not only excited to be going and playing in this event, her Mom lives close enough and was going to be there to watch. :D

This is the first time I saw kathleen lawless.she was really lawless :D: when she tried to return the pimp slap on Jeanette Lee during her match with Jeanette.
Nah,I am just kidding.I thought she was a very good sport:cool: Jeanette did a jump shot and missed pocketting that ball but the cue ball travelled around the world and knocked another ball (that was sitting 3 inches of the side pocket) into the pocket. That was the time that exchange took place between Jeanette and kathleen.I liked such kind of ice breakers amidst serious matches and smileless faces of pool players and audience.:D
