She didn't have time to say... just wanted to call me with the news of how well she'd been doing and then was running out the door to get a new shirt & she was getting another call coming in. I didn't get a chance to ask details but she didn't mention Vivian, she just said she had to beat Kelly Fisher along the way to get to the tv rounds.
 
To answer my own question, it looks like the TV rounds start with the quarters. I'm now excited about seeing Vivian vs. Pamela. The WPBA site is reporting that Allison beat Helena 7-6, meaning it was a TV match race to 7.

Edited to add: Vivian Villarreal def. Pamela Treadway 7-2. Also, Jude, you should go to the WPBA website. Under the tournament highlight links (under the schedule link), there are pictures of this event. One of them has Supandra in it. She's in the background, but I thought you might be interested.

Minica beat Julie kelly 7-6
Allison beat helena 7-6
All those matches are taped for ESPN
Moinica and julie missed the balls so many times like alison fisher and helena in their match.in hill hill matches I never saw in my life so many misses.many including me thought that the table was mean and nasty because the way the pockets are cut.

it will be Allison and Karen in the final, pretty standard.

Kudos to Monica Webb though, for coming back after getting beat by Melissa to defeat her the second time they played, and continuing on. That takes grit.

I missed one match.I went to dinner with the girls and when I returned it was minica Vs julie kelly going on.shaw was in our dinner group and I thought shaw will be playing this morning.
 
I will jump into the shower in a momment to get ready to go to the tournament venue.cell phones work intermittently in sandia resort hotel.I will come out side and will be calling timberly and she can keep this board updated on the out comes of the matches today.

Impressive win for Monica. I read on the WPBA website (under tournament highlights) that she came back from 3-6 down to beat Julie 7-6. Not easy, especially with alternating breaks.

Karen is currently up 4-2 against Kim. Vagabond said that Kim missed an easy 9 ball giving Karen her 4th game and then they took a break. I assume he'll call me back if they take another break or when the match ends.
 
In the 8th game both ladies missed an easy 9 ball but Kim finally pocketed the ball to tie the score at 4-4.
 
5-4 Kim. Neither player is even bringing their B game to this one.

The players have said they are having a very hard time adjusting to the lack of humidity here.

6-4 Kim as both players knocked the 3 ball around for a while until Kim finally made a 3-9 carom.

You can just see the pained looks on the players faces as they struggle in this match.

Kim was running out a fairly standard layout and started getting out of line. Was forced to try the 7 ball in the side and missed. Safety exchange and then Kim missed a thin cut and Karen ran out.

A safety goes bad for Karen leaving the 4 in the jaws. Kim runs to the 7 and misses it. Karen tries for a bank and misses it. Kim runs the last 3 for the hill-hill win.

Thanks for all the live updates. I hope they continue. Congrats to Kim for pulling off the win. Monica is probably happy about this. It seems she always runs into Karen or Allison in the semis, so maybe now that she won't run into either in the final 4, she can make the final (this is nothing against Kim, but I'm sure Monica was tired of running into either Allison or Karen in the semis).

I am here for the duration. Just have to walk out on to the tournament floor to watch the games and then walk back the net connection to post after each game.

Allison and Vivian starts in about 30 min.
