Arent you the best if you win a race to 100?

So what you're saying then, is that your TOP picks to beat Shane....can't beat him here, on USA soil, and that he should only play them overseas, so they stand a chance of winning then....OK, got it, now I understand where you're coming from;)

Ko Pin Yi beat Shane in a race to 21 ten ball on a 9 foot diamond in Las Vegas during BCA Nationals. Both brothers beat him in the Invitational tournaments as well. I know all the Shane lovers will say none of the races were long enough.

I just don't understand why they should have to keep coming over here to beat him or gamble. It should go both ways so he should go to their home turf to play as well.

Because this is the land of opportunity, and a race to 21 is not the same as a race to 100.

I wonder how Ko Pin Yi would handle Shane playing one pocket in a race to 10 ahead:thumbup:

I don't believe Earl is a top 15 if you bring in all the worlds talent ,, I also believe Shane can get beat in a race to 100 if it's in a venue that's not in his favor ,, I would love to see him play the Ko's on thier home turf ,, or DAZ or Shaw in UK

He played Niko in Greece in a race to 50 and drilled him.

If Shane had won that race to 21, then the race would have been long enough to determine who the best player is in the eyes of Shane lovers.

A race to 100 turns into an endurance contest.

Here is an example. A strong local player is barking at the best player in the area saying I will play you a race to 50 for 5k. Best player is older and knows there is no way he can win in a race to 50 even though he is the better player. Best player says I will play you a race to 10 every day for 1k. Says the window never closes. Strong player declines because he doesn't want to play best player each day when he is rested.

Now is the older player not as good because he doesn't have the endurance to play a race to 50?

Shane is not going to chase KO to Taiwan . I don't think he WANTS to play KO and I don't blame him. Darren is a different story. Shane would walk to play Darren a long set. When Shane talked about stepping up he wasn't referri to Daz

Never know

We will never know who the best is, there is not enough games played in different formats by enough players to reach a sound conclusion. It would take years to figure it out. So many of the "top players" are so good and their ability is so similar that any one of them can win on any given day. SVB certainly gets the nod for a race to 100 in 10 Ball on a 10' table. A race to 5 or 7 in 9 Ball against some of the top players in the Mosconi cup or other tournament is a different story. Having pro players play a single race under 13 in 9 Ball just shows who was the best on that day. If they were playing matches that were 9 or 10 ball races to 21 that were the best out of 2 out of 3 races and did it several times then a better conclusion could be reached. I view 9 Ball on a 7' or 9' table as a challenging game for most of us. I just don't see it as being much of a challenge for pro players in a short race format. Why is Efren thought of as possibly the best ever? Was it because he had a great 8 & 9 Ball game and 1 pocket game, I think so.

Oops, I wrote hourse.

But...

A hourse is a horse of course of course
And if Shane is your horse he should win of course
Unless of course the other horse he's playing is Mr. Daz!

9 in a row!

What happened to Daz in the last 3 US Opens, how come he hasn't won and Shane has, yet he played in all of them?

He spends to much time gearing up for actual "World Titles" that not only have paid him 100 grand a pop he doesn't have to worry about getting paid

Then why does he enter the US Open, if not to win, being a world champion and all, snapping it off shouldn't be a problem I would think....except that he has to get past SVB first:thumbup:

Shane made 80k more then Daz in 2013 and was top earner.
Shane made 50k more then Daz in 2014 and was top earner.
Shane is currently 17k up this year and is 3rd on the list.
