Here's somthing fun to try.

take your cueball & put a nice coat of armor all on it & wipe it down.

then try to do massive draw & follow shots.

Post results here :D

I did this about 10yrs ago just for fun & it was just silly. the cueball would slide halfway down the table before the english would take.

just somthing fun to try.

i've heard about this armor all trick before to speed up slow tables. at work we have a really really slow table, it's got a MDF surface, fuzzy felt, and very worn balls. after i armor all the balls, it plays faster and you can actually draw the cue ball now.

Try wiping down an old cloth with a pledge cloth. It gets interesting from what I have been told. Got a guy out in Indy that swears by it.

This is a standard technique for fancy shot exhibition players. Some of the shots on Semih Sayginer's amazing clips on www.youtube.com are done with silicone on the cue ball. For some details, see:

At the place I play pretty regularly they like to armor all the pockets so they "look nice." If you don't notice it before you start playing and it gets on the balls things get weird. Banks are off, crazy draws are possible etc. I really wish they would stop doing it.
