Art, being the big time bow hunter that he is, was always into the big 5 of hunting. With his unbelievable list of skills, he hand carved the big 5 into a piece of leather thats also hanging in his basement. I have included a picture of this incredible piece of art for all to see. He said he looked up at it one day and decided he wanted to make a cue of the same theme.....and here it is.

I cant thank Art enough for making this cue for me...I will treasure it

I really like the Lion in this cue.
It looks like you could reach out an pet that fur.

Of course, you might be less a hand or arm.

Now If you could get the leather pict too, That would be a great set!!!!!!!!!!

Being a African hunter I absloutley love this cue. I have bagged 3 of the 5 I will never shoot a rhino, I'm still working on a leopard, LOL they are tricky someday I hope.

back to the cue, I love all of AC's work

hey

Thanks for all the nice comments. I believe Art bagged all those animals with a Bow. He certainly is one multi talented guy isnt he...

I believe Sandra Brady did the scrimshaw

hey

She is one talented lady. Her work makes the cue a notch higher than it would have been without the scrimshaw.........

I would love to see how scrimshaw is done. Sandra's work is always beautifull

hey

Arts color combinations are always first class. He has a knack for putting together the best combinations you could ever want.

Amazing Work

Just started browsing some of Cantando's cues and this one needed a bump.

I remember years ago the Sierra club commissioned 5 custom rifles to be made by different makers, each with a big 5 animal as a theme. They were auctioned off and raised much money. Each had accompaning painting in the deal...This cue is of that (dare I say) caliber. What a magnificent work of art.

Thanks, this was a cue that Art had wanted to make forever. He was such an accomplished avid hunter. I feel so fortunate that he made this cue for me, being it really meant so much to him.
