I want to start by saying I don`t play on any league but I do read alot of the threads.They somtimes are more interesting than t.v.
We should have sticky that is for league rants and raves,all league post would go there so you can click the same post everyday and keep up with the drama.
 
don`t get me wrong I`m not knocking leagues,I`m just just saying almost every week there is a thread started by a league player complaing about leagues.If they are so frustrated with them why continue to play?You can play pool without being in a league.If you want to play in the league then you should also be willing to take the good and bad.
I have been ask many times to join a league and do not wish to participate.It is to much drama for me.Please don`t get offended by my thread if you are a league player.
 
Maybe he likes to live vicariously through others.

I'll start. This past Sunday was my first ever APA league match. I lost 3-0. My team captain tells the other team captain that its my first time, so I am entitled to 2 coaching sessions per game. Every time my captain ask if I wanted my 2nd coach session, the other team captain points out that I've been coached. My team captain reminds him 3 times about the 2 coach sessions per game.

First game, I knocked in the 8-ball while trying a safety.

Second game, I gave BIH to my opponent. She ran out the remaining balls

Third game, scratched on the 8-ball.

Stepping I get ball in hand, my captain ask if I wanted to talk. I said yes, he said go for a safety, if you get ball in hand put the cue ball in spot X for the 8-ball. I pulled off the safety, and my opponent misses. So, I get ball in hand. My captain asks for another time out. Where are you going to put the cue ball? You said spot X.
Proceed to shoot, make position on the 8-ball, and then scratch.

I told my team captain that I'll be out of town for 4th of July weekend. He said, that's fine send him an e-mail. After I send him the e-mail that I'll be out of town, I looked up the schedule and everyone is off next Sunday.

This thread may need some asian manga drama. Yes, its a repost.

Not close as funny as the Soap names but I had to add my 2.

General Hostility gets the Soap/League vote.
 
There are some good ones here.:thumbup: I really don't understand the drama. I have been playing BCA for about 15 years and our league has very little drama, as a matter of fact, you could really say it is boring compared to some of the things I have read here (boring in no drama, definitely not boring as there are a lot of really good players so better bring your A game almost every night we play).
About the only drama (if you want to call it that) last year was one of the guys that is super competitive got angry and tossed the cue ball on the table after scratching. The cue ball jumps off the table and went right through the widow. The look on his face was priceless.:o

i play in 3 apa divisions, absolutely no drama at all. i also play in a money league and i have seen a few heated conversations over rules but nothing too serious. actually its understandable since you are playing for $2000.00. people tend to take pool more serious when money is involved.

guess thats why i like playing apa so much. all we are playing for is a few patches cuz my team aint got a chance in hell of ever making it to vegas lol.

With all due respect, when it comes to league drama, AZ would really need a separate section for leagues. :wink:
