Great event at a great room. Seeing lots of friends and meeting old friends I haven't seen for a decade or more. I love Evelyn and Danny's Midwest Tour stops. Always friendly, lots of action, lots of players. And Shooters is a player's room through and through.
This is easily one of the top five places in the nation if you're a pool nut.
Call me if you want a case - they are selling fast -
And for those sweating my one pocket journey, I crapped all over myself and played horrible except for two games in each match. One of them I was in complete control and played good one hole and won the game easily, the other one I had to start with an off angle cross corner that I drained, which left me a straight back off angle that I made which led to running three more and playing shape on a easy cross corner that I made to run 7 and out.
THEN
I broke SO BADLY that I missed the head ball and broke them like eight ball with four balls going to my opponent's pocket and he ran out from my break.
In my defense....I have no defense.....I stunk up the joint. I did manage to get a game off Mark Haddad in practice though in a 30 minute game after being down 5:0 in balls. That guy has a SMOOOOOOOOOTH stroke and he knows a lot of tricky shots.
So I went two and out - now it's time to match up a little.
