"It won't be long now. Atlanta Scorpions and the rest of the teams in the WPBL."

I think the restart is really happening. I found out recently another pro player got an email
that said (from memory) 'WPBL will be starting up again very shortly, captains need to let me
know if they have any plans which would make them unavailable over the next month'.
Details are being finalized between Larry, Dave, and Nathan.

I'd like to say something positive here but I feel like I'd just be faking it.
I don't have much confidence that the same people doing the same thing
will somehow give a totally different result, the 2nd time.

You can say what you want but the reality is Bonus Ball is the best thing going. I have no doubt you would go back if you were in their position, unless you are in fact the stupid one.

Are you serious???? Do you have any clue at all? Stooooopid one?? Shannon and Marge are friends of mine... Do you know how much it cost them in expenses? forget the 5k he is owed... Lee Brett was sleeping in his car.... How many of them were in Tunica that could have stayed with a chance to cash to only run back to Vegas and be told ummmm we are shutting down......

They restart based on "negotiations" if you think that is the best thing going then instead of reading between the lines I need to splain it to you.... IF the pros will take less than what is owed... And make like soldier ants back to vegas they can go... if they all want paid in full.... Ummm well can we negotiate some more????????

I am very serious. Out of curiosity, what do you think is the best thing going for the bonusball players? Retirement?

Shannon spent $8500 out of pocket... They also owe him $5000.... I'm not real good at math but retirement from BB might be the smart move if they don't get paid what they are owed and paid up front going forward.......

What is that, the cost of living he spent during the 6 weeks?
How much would he have spent without bonusball?
How much did he get paid?

Now I'm getting a little pissed. I think that if they are trying to do anything at all, they should at least provide a professional courtesy to other companies, streamers and tournament organizations what their tentative schedules are WAAAY in advance!

No, BONUS BALL is not the best thing going for pool!

That is purely YOUR opinion and I've stated MY opinion! What authority are you to state this and think that it holds water.

Bonus Ball for the spectator is a pretty damn, boring game. I know this because I've asked at least 100 people and I can only think of about 15 who love it as a spectator.

Maybe in 5 or 10 years this game can evolve into something more palatable, but if these guys are trying to tell you that this is the next big thing NOW, then good luck!

God, the sad thing is, I actually like Nathan, Dave, Lenny, Lee and the others who have worked their asses off to try to make it happen, but the simple fact is that I actually don't friggin' care at this moment because there will always be the great American pool games that people have been playing for decades, WHICH ARE STILL GOOD GAMES!

Furthermore... Streaming of pool and proliferation of some of these great players is getting out there, thanks to the great streaming and promotional efforts of some of my colleagues out there.

Pool IS getting better, and I really wish people would stop trying to blow it up like it's Beyonce! And especially not by Bonus Ball.

Good luck getting players come back after all the signed leases that had to be broken, people's credit getting screwed up.

I'm kinda through with being diplomatic at this point. If they are going to succeed then nothing I say will matter and I'm pretty sure my friends at Bonus Ball will still be my friends.

Pretty dumb making the players announce the build up though. Don't these guys know what a press release is?

My statement that bonusball is the best thing going is relating to the players not the game. I like the game a lot and for many reasons that I have not mentioned in this thread but that is irrelevant in this discussion because again your response was to a comment that I made about bonusball being the best thing going right now for the players, not the game. Your opinion may differ still but ultimately it's the players opinion of what's best for them that matters and their opinion is what will affect what happens. Their opinion will be clear when they make their decision to come back or not, and whatever they decide I will respect it. Although some others here will instead get a kick out of tagging them with the stupid label if they don't make the decision that the they, as a fan, prefer.

I can't blame anyone for signing up for a guaranteed paycheck. Guaranteed money beats
uncertain tournament money (in which luck plays a part) every time.

I guess the 'stupid' comment comes from the idea that the bonus ball paychecks are not
really guaranteed money.

However there are different levels of "not guaranteed".
Like US Open payments... consistently late, so not a stable source of income,
but eventually always paid (afaik). The players keep coming back to the us open
and they will keep coming back to bonus ball as long as the money gets there eventually.

IMO I think the Chicago team name sucks eggs.

Don't have an opinion on BB , one way or the other but i think Lee Brett has a problem living within his means . I think Las Vegas does that to many people .
