I tried to order some of this MP ROD & was told that they will no longer stock this item. Does anyone have some, they will sell me or know where I can buy some?...JER

We don't carry "rods" of this material per say, though we do stock a .375" x 1.375" tube. I have plenty of this material in stock and ready to ship.
Varney Cues said:Jerry...another option is to use the tube. I take a piece of ABS rod and turn down a small tenon to fill the hole making a capped mp ivory ferrule. A bit more time consuming but works great and you can control the cap thickness. Also take a look at the Elforyn...that ferrule material comes in a solid rod and is very similar to the mp...except for the price.![]()

you think $22 for a one foot rod that gives you 10 ferrule (e.g.) is too high? That is 2,20 per ferrule ...

ok... But what is $2,20 or even $5 in a custom cue that is sold for an amount between $500 and $1000. The material never equals the value of a cue. Its the long hours, time and devotion that goes into it..right ?

For a synthetic ferrule?
Elforyn has a lot of grain structure
That doesn't have anything to do with the material's composition though I think.

If you're trying to tell me how to make a capped ferrule, I can tell you that I've been making them, for 20 years. I just like the hit of this MP ROD & now they have stopped making it...JER
