Wow - you guys just can't wait to correct my mistakes, and I know you don't make them but let's do a recap on the past few days..

A couple whined about my use of these ===> { }
A few people corrected a misspelled word. One guy screamed for days that I'm an idiot because I misspelled Gulyassy.
Three threads have been created about me {one was removed}.
A few people linked a few of my books.
One guy linked some of my media articles.
Many people have whined about my use of colors.
Many others whined about my oversize fonts.
A few people swear I am Robb Browning and linked his videos.
One guy doesn't like my suit.
One guy said I'm in the Philly mob.
Many people have said that I'm 20-30 other members.
About 20 people attacked me for days when I defended the US Mosconi-Cup team.
There's a few people who HAVE TO comment after everything I post and their comments are always childish and irrelevant.

And you think Minnesota Fats was a great pool player.

I know this place is boring but, when your entire lives are centered around me.... I can only say - Get a damn life.

Unfortunately, as I understand it Jockey passed a few years ago. I played Jockey years ago in Detroit. Was very surprised when I later saw him in one of the famous Johnson City group photos. He was well passed his prime playing days by then.

I'm sorry to hear about the Jockey.
I last had a long conversation with him at Bogarts in the 90s.
...first knew him from Charley's in Norwalk CA.
He was making a game...told the guy they could play on any table...then he patted the
front action table fondly, like it was his old lady...said...we'll just play on Old Betsy here.

Jockey was diagnosed with manic-depression (now euphemised to bi-polar)....
....he was taking meds for it and felt a lot better about himself.

No I didn't - I asked if anyone here had ever played with a Jerry Olivier, a Carolina Custom or a Gulyassy - because these were the three cues (of the many thousands of brands) that match the specs I was looking for.

I got a lot of great information from that thread and isn't that why we're here?

I watched the video of you hitting balls. My advice stands. Nearly every good player learned the game by grabbing a cue off the wall. When they achieved a certain level they knew what they wanted and bought a custom.

If you walk into a pool hall with a recognizable custom cue and can't play you will draw the attention of a lot of people.

Ribman, I have never had a 'high' opinion of Fat's pool game, per say!..My fascination with him, was much like Freddy's..It was with his gamesmanship and his ability to con even the leeriest of 'smart suckers'!..His prowess as a top player was IMO, always in doubt!..His tournament win record is almost zero, and he played in hundreds of them, all his life.

It was tough to pinpoint his best game, because he rarely (if ever) put himself to any real test!..He could play 1P quite well at times, but they were rare!..His big score over LA Richie, was a brilliant lesson in 'controlling your sucker'!..In a fair match, without all Fats constant 'maneuvering' (and Richie's drinking) he would not have had a prayer, getting only a ball from RF at that time!

PS..I have him ranked about even with Titanic Thompson, in the 'clever con' department, but well below many top players (alive or dead) in his skill at any given pool discipline!

BUT (read this folks) ---> The worst thing he did was: destroy pool's future via its reputation and that's why (in 2016) you can go to any big tournament, walk around the parking lot and see top-shelf players sleeping in their F***ing cars!

Once again - I didn't create this stupid thread. I'm here to talk about pool and maybe learn something. Believe it or not - there are a handful of people here who can play this game. Outside of that - I've been playing it,around it and promoting it for 40 years so I might even have something to share.

Yeah - I'm a magnet for lonely trolls who want to talk about my suit. I can't help it if my suit makes them feel like inferior slobs who can't dress themselves. It's their problem! And it proves that they're not here to offer anything or learn anything. For God's sake people - get a damn grip. This isn't Grade School!
