I would like to know the outcome of this also....Things like this really make me leary to conduct buisiness and do trades on here...I realize not everyone is bad..but dang, how can you tell the good guys from the bad guys in here....Maybe a sticky with all the bad transactions on here....now, I realize not everyone will be happy with each and every transaction....but there has to be something we can do as a community to help each other out......

Well one way to tell the good people from the bad is to start yourself a Word document. Every time someone has a transaction that you disagree with, add their name to the list along with a brief reminder of what they did.

how did things work out Ross? Beyond getting a refund, please let us know the surrounding circumstance. I sure hope you get it all straightened out and your made whole (minus the fear and rage one goes through with crap like this).

As far as a guardian angel neighborhood watch, good idea based on honor and principles, REALLY BAD idea based on reality.

No amount of money is worth visiting someones home, where they might be armed (especially a criminal in Texas) and having things escalate to violence. Eventually, someone WILL get hurt. Someone WILL go to jail. Furthermore, the original vicitm, will lose the moral highground in either a civil or criminal case.

I appreciate everyone's interest in this...

Absolutely NOTHING has happened... I've disputed with paypal and have to wait 10 days for the thief to respond. In addition to that, I've been speaking with the Houston PD and my local and that is a slow and painful process as well....

I'm hoping to have an update within the next week, but right now I'm still standing here scratching my junk with one hand and nothing in the other...

Richard Black swears that Wild West and Roland Garcia are one in the same. I have been waiting over two years for Roland to come forth with my money. It's a good thing that i'm not holding my breath. Good luck getting your deal straightened out. Bob C.

Wild West and Roland Garcia are the same person. I met him in person about 2 years ago when in Houston for business and picked up a Richard Black cue in trade. I met him through AZ under his Wild West name when I noticed he was in Houston I PMd him to meet up and talk about a trade. Haven't seen him since, and I have been to Houston probably 30 times since. I went to Richard's shop and his wife knew the cue I had immediately as Roland's, as he had Richard put some unique inlays in it for him. Apparently they hadn't seen him for a while either.

I don't know if this is out of line to ask but what is his eBay name so I can avoid it? I clicked the link on page 1 but it says invalid item.

Been doing exactly that for almost a year now. This idiot has been on there for quite a while, he's #6 on the list :frown:

Yes it is the Martini Glass cue. His story to me, also backed up by Mrs. Black, is that he was/is a bartender somewhere in Houston and had the inlays put in the cue. She and Richard both know Roland (I am not sure if it is only from the work done on this cue or others) and the cue I sold you. You can rest easy, it is legit. I am glad now after hearing all of this stuff that I did the deal in person. I might be the one in Ross' shoes. You can speak to Richard about the cue/him if you wish.
