Other than the breakup-WBM Grudge Match; I can't recall any of these internet offers resulting in decent action. I still read the threads in hope; but they make my head hurt.
For the record, I believe no one has accepted the offer as originally stated (not my version; but the real one). Everyone has tried to twist it somehow in their favor.

Willie I do remember seeing an awful lot of jellybeans posted in that match between you and breakup. Must have taken a lot of heart to take down that match with all that jelly above the light.

You might be careful what you say, maybe David will have a flash back to the day I saw him run twelve in a row on a bar table in Enid, Oklahoma. It would be kind of hard to snap someone off in three hours if Corey is sitting

That someone in Olathe would offer to put them up for a few days even, so the traveling money wouldn't even be that much. $147 for round trip air is chicken feed for a 10k match, and I believe he stated before they would reload. Funny, how after such a put it out there offer gets real quiet so quick when it is no longer known that there isn't a 'lock' anymore.
Money talks, BS walks as they say.
And I have a friend that saw Corey play back in Tennessee, Georgia, or somewhere around there, and he is of the opinion that Walden or Matlock would not have a chance even with the 8. The best judge of the matchup, by far, would be Gabe Owen, as he is close friends with Corey, and he has played Walden countless times, and is very aware of Matlock's game too.
BTW, When was the last time that Corey won a major tournament? And I don't count the Mosconi Cup.
