I just wanted to share with everyone, today I got my cue back from Joss, it was being repaired.

I have had my N7 since 1995, and it has served me well. It had a cracked (3 places) butt cap, so I sent it to Dan Janes a few weeks ago to be fixed. Also had him put a new white with blue linen wrap (matches color in points).

During the process, I spoke several times with Dan directly (he answers the phone himself) and was in contact with Debbie via phone and email, as she kept me updated on the progress.

I am thrilled with the results! My cue looks better than new. Never be afraid to deal with Joss, Dan Janes and his family are fantastic!

Thanks Dan & the Janes Famiily at Joss!

Glad to hear they did a good job for you.
That N7 Color Of Money cue looks great by the way.
Bet you're happy with yours.

I'll post some pics sometime. Mines an older version with white butt cap, gold hand & cue logo, blue, yellow, and natural colors in the points, with brown abalone inlays instead of MoP

I'd like to see the pictures....never had a linen wrap with blue in it...sounds great.

pt....plays with a '68 Joss

they always have great service, i just got a low deflection laminted shaft from them.

Joss recently turned a wrong into a right after 20 years. My son had a new Joss severely warped and I handled the return while he was deployed. Joss refused to make good on the new cue and I'll spare you the details, since many have read it before.
Anyway, I was at a tournament this year and told the Joss rep my story and he said "You know what, I believe your story and I'm going to make it right today. Pick any Joss cue I have on my table and it's yours. Give it to your son."
I did. He put it in a nice Joss case too. I picked a beauty with a matching shaft and let me tell you it hits sweet. I gave it to my son.

long time no see buckzapper, i'm really glad after all these years that this has come to a happy ending, this has been i long time in the making for you congrats on your sweet hitting Joss.

I had a similar experience with Joss, sent my J11 back for a new butt cap (from overseas via APO); very quick turn around...so quick I didn't have much time for a lot of back and forth communications. Flawless job, too. They were amazed at how well the cue held up over the past 25 years; I wasn't, it's an awesome cue.

Cool!

Buckzapper, that is awesome. Very cool that someone recognized the issue and rectified it. Too bad it took as long as it did.

JoseV, your cue is BEAUTIFUL. Very nice wood & colors. One to hang on to for sure.

Bill, I always loved both the J11 and the J15! Just couldn't afford them. Hope whoever stole your's butthole festers shut...

Glad it worked out well for you.

About 6 months ago, one of our AZ brothers here, Josh, I believe had a horrible time with Joss.

Eventually after intervention from a big cue collector and buyer it was resolved.

That experience was enough for me that I knew I didn't ever want a Joss cue.

Anyone can make a mistake or have a problem. But it is HOW IT IS HANDLED after the mistake is made tells me what kind of person I am dealing with.

Dan, Debbie, and their team definitely haven't lost sight of what has kept them thriving all these years. I had essentially an identical experience with their restoration of a '68-'72 vintage Joss - could not have been more pleased with the personal care and quality of their work.

I also had a positive experience with the folks at Joss. About a year and a half ago I found a Joss (in almost new condition) in a pawn shop here. I bought it and then wondered what it was worth. I emailed Joss with the number engraved on the joint and Dan Janes gave me the history of the cue. From that I looked it up and figured out the cost. I got a good deal!

I also ordered a pair of joint protectors which came promptly. I then got an email from Debbie Janes telling me I was accidently charged wrong and they had applied a credit to my card. I didn't even know!

I was surprised and impressed that the owners of the company would be dealing with such a minor issue. Thanks Joss! BTW the cue plays great too.
