The dirtiest fight I've seen in boxing, Tyson ear biting doesn't even come close. Referee is not even telling them fight, he is still looking at the judges and here comes Floyd just bang. Ortiz is waiting for the referee for the go signal. Ortiz head butt is wrong and he knows it, what Floyd did was wrong and he is proud of it. It's like shooting an unarmed man.
The ref said fight and he did.If those punches were not legal Floyd would of been disqualified,so the punches were legal and within the rules,not like the brutal headbutt Ortiz hit Floyd with cause he couldn't land a punch on him.The only dirty part of that fight was the headbutt!And yes the ref did tell them to fight,he was looking at the time keepers table to start the clock.If you watch it again you'll see he motions them to fight.

There was nothing dirty about it. Ortiz shouldve protected himself at all time like any boxer should.
Cortez already motioned for them to fight and verbally said "lets go!" and the two combatants inched closer. Its not a rule that when a fighter wants to hug, the other one should hug as well. They already touched gloves and that should be "game on".

so biting a part of a guys ear off is more acceptable than 2 clean punches that were thrown.The round was still going and he did it within the rules.To say something that dumb that this was worse than Tyson tells me you don't know boxing.

Head butt was clearly intentional. Ortiz broke the cardinal rule " protect yourself AT ALL TIMES "

Yep, two sides to every argument, if you dish it out, you outa' be able to take it, however its served, no one to blame cept the guy in the mirror.
I didn't watch the fight knowing the outcome. Ortiz had to get set to throw a punch and Mayweather is just to slick and quick.
As far as him ducking Manny. None of us know the particulars and can't comment because we have no clue as to what their contracts state. No one would take a fight if the money or ring size and a load of other things aren't in their favor.
