I can do a rating analysis on you if you wish. But getting lowered is extremely hard. Once you have the knowledge of a higher rating you never lose that. Yes, you may drop down for a little while after no practice, but you are capable of playing at that speed still.
The tourney isn't capped yet. And having an alternate would be a good idea. You know how pool players can be. Worst case, I might have to jump in. I'm pretty much an 8 player myself.

Thanks, for the info. I agree with you on getting lowered, I think is isn't right now I think about it. Knowing my luck I will play out of my skin and that could cause a problem with other players. Then again if I play the other players may petition you to lower my rating as it may look like I have never played before too. I will stay where I am at and just practice sometime. I tell you what happened a few months ago though that may be why you ask. My daughtr was putting some electric blue streaks in her hair and asked if she could do mine. I said sure as I was going to take a shower later that night and it would wash out. Well it was permanent hair color and I looked like a total dumbass. So my wife went and got some blonde color to cover the blue and that turned out to be more of an orange color. Well it has grown out a bit and faded a little but if you have sen a pic of me from the past few months you could be mistaken that I am blonde.

One gentleman I know who underwent Cardio Vascular Surgery, and shall we saw "DON'T Play 9 Speed No More, was a "9" before the surgury, was lowered to an "8".
Also I understand you MARK are allowed to go to the Rating Committee Meeting anytime you want, and ask the Committee to lower you, and that state your CASE why you think you should be lowered. Than the Committee vote on your request.
