AZ 8 rated - Round Robin at Sweet Tooth Billiards

AH ha ha ha....

Yes, Sweet Tooth was trying to open this Saturday and they still might be able to. I spoke with Mike O'hara yesterday and they were still having a few issues with the City Inspectors. And they were very picky. "Move this sink over 1/2 inch", "electrical covers were put on before I said so", "Bathroom lighting too dim", etc. etc.

The place looks absolutely beautiful inside. They have Poker and Pool Pro pictures on all the walls, The Diamonds glow when you walk in, or maybe that is just me. Above the 'Dynamo's' are the old Lights from Alexanders, 1 - 6.

Once complete, I'll have pictures of the project posted up on azpoolscene.

There is no "Grand Opening" scheduled as he just wants people to check it out on their own time. But of course, I'll be running some tournaments out of there. Most likely the King of 9's Round Robin, and King of 10's as well. All the Diamond Tables have Pro-cut pockets, and will be a great place to warm up before Vegas! I'll even try and run some Warm-up tournaments before Vegas, for Singles, Team (if possible), and Scotch.

Lenny, One question about streaming. How are you able to do on-screen scoring? That is something that I haven't fooled with yet.

I'm trying to find a flip book scoring system to pick-up before the event, but no luck yet.

Ustream has built in functionality for that.

Quick question: With 10 of us playing round robin on 5 tables, how are you and Chuck going to have time for your match and how will Jason and I have time for another match?

Well, right now we have 9 players, as I haven't heard from Ken yet. And one of those 9 probably won't show up. ha ha.

No, If we have 9 or 10 show up, I'll see about having 6 tables open. Also, we are playing 9 ball which is a faster game than 10 ball.

I'm going to setup the chart and I'll need everyone to work together on getting all the matches played. Also, there is enough time for everyone to get a little break in the middle. Matches should all be less than 1 hour and if we start right at noon we should be okay. Also, the open tables will move the matches along faster.

Other idea is that if we do have 10 players, we shorten the races to 7. I say we play it by ear and make the decisions on Saturday morning.

That sounds good to me.

if we have over 8 change race to 7

If we play on the bar tables I say we keep the races to 9. They will go by quick enough but 7 is just too short of a race IMO. Either way I am in but I like going to 9 since we are playing 9 ball on the Bar Box.

The longer the better. The better player wins longer races.............As for carlos still the fav....Yep, he can give me the seven.. I thought we were playing on 9 ft to be honest. Maybe I should actuallly read these post before making fun of you guys...

I would not mind big tables at all but since there are 9 other players I think Bar Box is what we agreed on. I have only played on a bar box like 5 or 6 times and I hated it.

I hate bar box but what can you do.

I would prefer races to 9, but I do agree that we could lower the race to 7 if we have more than 8 players. Any more than 8 is going to be 9 rounds of play and we will be there til 9 at night.
