AZ Backed matches.

If enough interest is provided, I might be convinced to use some of my airline miles to come out that way...or if you were going to go to DCC next year, we might be able to do something there.

Nice, though I am highly unlikely to make dcc.

I gotta go to dcc once, don't i?:embarrassed2:

lets get some money matches going. let's set some up and recruit investors from as members. 50% to the player and the rest goes back to the investors at the percentage they committed to.

I am in for up to $500 on any player I like. and yes I know we could just bet on existing matchups and get 100% of the proceeds but I think this is a better way to be directly involved.

and it doesn't have to be pros. we can back matches between Azb amateurs.
Great idea except you need to win 3 to 1 just to break even! I don't hate my money that much.

2 to 1 is break even. Also consider you would see matches that you want to see and have an added reason to watch. I love the idea.

Would a grudge match between two twin brothers be interesting to anyone? We are just a couple of bangers and dont play together regularly. We live 130 miles apart.

Right. I play against myself all the time. The judges can decide which one of us is better and award the cash to him. We promise no complaining whichever way it goes.

Hilarious.

At least it would ensure SOME action, and we all know no one is ever going to play in person. The barking to biting ratio on this forum is minimal at best.

This is nothing but another JB Cases sponsored non event, with the only genuine suggestion being declined by, er, JB Cases.

We have had a lot of matches go down over the forums. Just that all of them have involved people who were known to other people and a part of our community long before the match took place.

You just happen to not be a part of the community who is welcome to participate. Also given your unverified location in England it's very slim that you would find someone to match up with anyway.

I offered Fargo which is a pretty easy test of skill that a person can do independently and on video. It has a good mixture of straight pool and rotation with some decision making. If that's not something you feel comfortable with then no problem, no action for you. We can move on to the folks who are known and interested in getting some action going.

I'm an APA 4 in 8-ball and 3 in 9-ball, who'd be willing to take on anyone in the tri state area (PA,WV,OH, possibly Maryland) within one or two verifiable skill levels of myself.

Who's open?
