Hey guys,

My yearly club membership just ended, even though I still have the banner under my user name for now.
EDIT: The banner is no longer showing, but I still have the larger avatar.

I found the extra pm space quite useful over the past year, and the bigger avatar was nice too.
The extra Vbucks were a nice touch.

However now that it's time to renew my membership there are two things that bug me.
When I signed up for the Club I was promised two things besides the bigger Avatar, extra PM space and Vbucks.
Those were the free keychain and the monthly drawings for club members.
There were a few of those monthly drawings over the past year, but I believe no more than 4 or 5 in total.
I never received the keychain.

I know I PM'ed Mike (AZHousePro) several times about both matters and was promised the
chains would be sent and the monthly drawings reinstalled.
Unfortunately nothing happened except for one drawing back in October.
It's not big money obviously and I truly wouldn't mind just paying to support the site,
however I feel if you make promises espescially when people are paying for a service you should come thru on those promises.

Now I know I'm messing with the bull here and hope I don't get the horns,
but at this point I won't be renewing my membership until these matters are resolved.

I never got my keychain either. I was asked for a shipping address and thought it was actually someone trying to scam me. I researched the name and verified who it was, so I sent my address. I believe I followed through on it as well.

When I first joined the forum, I did so by registering and couldn't find access, so I waited. A friend of mine told me that it took months to get activated, and I actually thought that was kind of funny. 'Why?' After a month or so, I paid for a club membership just to see if that would help things and nothing happened. I was not happy at this point and wrote the AZ House pro and got no response. I did so a time or two again and had no luck. I finally went down the list to Gerry and got a response that day.

My emails became of an increasingly dissatisfied nature and the last one sounded like something to the effect of paying for something and not being able to use it, and therefore asking for a refund.

He was very apologetic and promised to have my account activated by the next day. I couldn't have been more pleased.

I am sure there are probably many people who try and register and there are many people who get out of line and must be regulated, but if I email a staff member, I think it would be a simple and courteous gesture to get back to me at some point. I am happy here except for that one thing and find that odd as well.
 
I agree with you two and support your posts 100 percent ... I know this is a great site and it takes alot time to run it and do the job that is being done here . It is alot of hard work and time involved maybe the site has gotten bigger then Mike ever thought and it has gotten hard to keep up with it . Still it sets a bad example when you run a site like this with a wanted for sale section that depends on people trusting each other like we do here ... When you promise someone something and do not deliver on it, it looks bad and people do not want to sign up again or donate ... I'm not sure why the Key chains were pormised and never delivered I have never recieved mine even though I did recieve the same email asking for my address and promising me one for my extended membership. I agree it makes you wonder why they would tell you your going to get something then they don't send it ...

I would love the key chain but I love the site more ... Rather or not I redo my club membership I do not yet know and will think hard on it . I don't mind supporting AZ at all as I love the site and the job done here by all involved to keep it going . The hard work and dedication cannot be over looked even in a matter like this . It is one small hiccup in a long hard road to bring us a great site ... You hate to see it happen and wonder why ...But at the same time I would hate to see this site go down for lack of contributuions ... So yes it will be a tough choice when my membership expires I certainly support those that started this thread ... And I support the site also ... I hope this all gets worked out to everyones satisfaction ....Maybe they will sell enough AZ shirts to come through on the key chains that were promised ...

My membership also runs out soon and I'm still waiting for my keychain also. lol
I will probably re-up and support the best site on the web for billiard related things. I have learned much over the course of the last 6 years, especially in the ask the cue maker forum.
I have seen a lot of people get shown the door, some I agreed with and some not but that is another issue.
On a sad note, quite a few members who I personally enjoyed always reading their post have met their maker and may they rest in peace!

I just became a member and knew nothing about the key chain and drawings. I did it to support a great site and will continue to do so.
 
I received my keychain right away .....maybe they ran out of stock? I believe my membership is about to run out as well??

Just kidding... too bad things havent worked out so well ...

I would love to pay for a memebership if there was a tangible product to show for it... (exclusive content hint hint )...
 
I knew nothing about the keychain either until I was contacted for my home address. It seems as if I'm not the only one that never received a keyring. Doesn't really matter because I think keyrings are the gayest phucking things you can ever get but as someone else said, if a promise is made it should be kept. I paid my membership and I'll pay it again, I should get the same respect in return.

Thanks for reminding me of this....I do remember them little "PERKS" as well....but I have not received anything either......I can tell you this though.....I sure got a email saying my membership was going to stop if I didnt pay.....

My membership expires soon also.........thought the extra perks would be cool, but if you spend the money and dont get anything....I feel its money wasted.......

And the fact that when you sign on as a member and it takes you (5months) in my case....to be able to respond in the forums is pretty lame.

I am happy to be a member here, but man, it feels like your dragged through the mud to just be able to post and sell here on the forums. Now with not getting what they said they would give you after paying membership fees is even more lame….It would be great if people would appreciate their paying members….doesn’t seem like that is the case…..I hope I am wrong, but with so many people complaining about the same problem…..doesn’t seem like I am wrong.

Just checked on renewing membership....doesnt look like the keychain is an option anymore.......but the extra vbucks plus entry in our monthly member drawing is there........

I know I didnt get extra vbucks.....and what is this monthly drawing? Or does it even exist?

What about all the Intangible benifits we recieve from having such a great forum.
Yeah, I got my key chain after a little prodding, but believe me that is not the reason I had no problem deciding to reup.:smile:
Mike does not run this forum to make money.
He does it for the Love Of The Game.
Each and every one of us that visits regular should be willing to help out and donate $35 dollars just for that reason.

Really, I enjoy being part of this forum...its entertaining for slow days here at work....and I have sold a few cues and bought a few cues on here as well...and have a cpl nice cues I will be selling here shortly..

I will probably renew my membership simply to just support this site. I really dont care about the vbucks, or a keychain, but being entered into a monthly drawing would be nice. I say either do the monthly drawing, or take down that little perk if there isnt a drawing.

We have that "intangible" benifit for.. uh...FREE already.

Mike makes enough paper on this deal from sponsors.... so it is free to "US" to help "THEM" sell stuff by paying HIM to advertise ....(and to also help spread the good word about our game, of course.)

If you have already signed up in the past and meet the requirement for the keychain (6 months or more) and you still have not gotten your keychain please PM me. If you have signed up recently please be patient as Mike gives me a list of new signups every few weeks to send out.

Disclaimer: Please be careful giving out your personal information. If Mike needs something from you he will PM you through the site. He rarely calls anyone for personal information. He will validate who he is.

Mike gets several hundred emails and PMs weekly. This site is the #1 Billiard website in the world and very popular for Scammers. He has to hand select all new member requests out of hundreds weekly. The best thing to do is let one of us know if your friend has signed up with a PM or they can email off the main site.

I got my key chain, but I certainly understand you feelings on this situation.
