I didn't realize it until I got hit with a dozen snowballs. I just passed our beloved legend, Mr Smorgassbored on the rep list. :mad:

Please give him at least a few trillion points.

I got an idea.....if the "rep" crowd would quit manipulating the points by patting each othere on the ass as many times a day as allowed, this would be much less of an issue.


BTW-We are agreed, I do believe Smorg should stay at the top of the heap.

I think Smorg should keep the points that he has now and everyone else should get reset to zero. That would keep Smorg on top for at least a couple of years.

I really don't think Smorg cares a whole lot about rep points. I'm sure he is enjoying the afterlife without having to worry about them.

I agree Sunny. People that have other suggestions may be unaware of multiple efforts to get Smorg to #1 and to stay there (not to mention the infighting that always occurs). It is an unfortunate reality of this VBulletin software combined with human nature that we are unable to accomplish this feat without outside help. Anything the posters collectively try to do is temporary at best.

Mr Howerton, it's apparent the overwhelming majority, if not all of the posters here would like to have Smorg #1 forever. Please consider taking measures to do so, so Smorg is forever honored and there's no more dissent on this recurring topic.

Congratulations on reaching a billion rep points, now we need to give Smorg at least a hundred billion and see how long it takes you to catch him again! I think Smorg's rep ranking should be like the rabbit at a greyhound track, something to chase.

I agree with Neil. Smorgie was entertaining at times, but that is all...

Rep should be reserved for POOL RELATED posts that offer good advice or enlightenment for the majority of posters, and not jokes. BTW, I have followed Smorgie since the RSB days.

I like a good laugh as well as other people, but Smorgie, rarely, if ever, departed from the facade as the Jokster to ever offer any serious advice.

You, to borrow from Neil, game playing repsters have destroyed the integrity of that the rep system use to enjoy, and could be relied upon. BTW, I probably average 2-4 reps given to other posters per year.

I hate to point out the obvious but the rep system would work no better than it does now if everyone only handed out two to four reps a year. I have been on another forum for years where rep can be passed out. I have ten rep points there, 750,000,000 here give or take a few. The rep points are equally meaningless both places.
