Dan, at 62 I'm much older now than when we began woofing and only half the man I used to be, so just to make it fair, I believe Jimbo should be allowed to use a 2'x4'....

( I'm getting a headache doing the calculations..... let's see, I'm twice as old, but half the man, while three times the size, 24 hours a day and I still get 17 miles per gallon in the city.... imo ) Oy-Vey !

Strangely enough, I've never played 9-ball on a 7' table. When I saw it played in Vegas, I was quite impressed. The dimensions really factor into your decisions!

Oh, darn, I thought this was a thread about folks on AZ looking to match up.
There's a cue located about 300 miles away from me (that I would need to hit with before
purchasing) and if I get the chance, and travel to see it...
It brings me quite close to Amsterdam Billiards in NY!
After seeing Jude's video, (and the "lovely" atmosphere and background), I want to be there.
EDIT: It was not just the video, but also the great feel I got for the place in a recent thread
regarding the hourly rates. That place (and the people that make it) seems to be quite in
line from what I remember about "real" pool rooms.

Try to make it down on a Thursday night. If you can, either get there in the afternoon so you can play before the league begins or get there late in the evening so you can play after the league ends. That way, you can get a chance to see the room's better players. During league, it's impossible to get a table.
I mean, there are still a lot of fine players in New York that do not play at Amsterdam. Masters seems to be the other big magnet room. They have a weekly tournament Wednesday nights which can be a lot of fun to play in so long as time isn't an issue.
Why are there no matchups between girl AZr's?

Believe me, IT WOULD DEFINITELY BE A challenge....cause I haven't actively played for going on 3 years now. But, it would be a great excuse to start training again!! I would just love a reason to be in action again!!!

my back has been so bad this past week I cant play at all, man all i want to do is feel good, i'm in bed 20 hrs a day right now, standing and sitting hurts, playing pool is about impossible right now, i cant get down on the shot or stay down, i cant piss right now either it takes 5 minutes to get to started, the nerves arnt working right, I was like this after both of my major operations. I had no concept of what chronic pain was until I got it 3 years ago, its like house arrest, I cant leave or if I do I have to take a handfull of pills and am good for 3-4 hours, I did get lucky one day a week ago and felt good, the week before that I played Jay first time in months we played for 5 hours-it was great. Man i would love to do that again-he drilled me.
