I agree guys, I do not think I am anywhere near cue of the year....but do you really need to be so hard on the guy for posting it?

If he has a Prulhiere made in 2011 that he feels should be cue of the year, he should be posting pics of it, not a plug to sell in the Gallery section.

Well,i know my cue cannot compare with other superb cues posted here, but i can tell you that the cue posted from me,is my main player, and i play with at least few hours a day.

Your cue is no slouch by any means, Andy is a fantastic cuemaker!

Put down the crack pipe and step away from the keyboard . Put your hands behind you head . You have the right to remain silent.

Like Ron White says... I once had the right to remain silent... I just didn't have the ability to...

WOW....8 ball in the head...LOL

I want to apologize to Prulhiere Cues on behalf of the azb members with CLASS. I understand the sales pitch or whatever it was wasn't necessary, but shame on anybody who replied without regard for Prulhiere Cues. I'm just lookin out for the little guy here. This was uncalled for and the sales pitch post should have been ignored. Nothing more.

Sir, I have never played with one of your cues, but I do like the looks of them. And it is nice that a custom maker is offering cues at a price that the mass market can afford. And thank you for handling the situation gracefully. I am hoping the harsh comments were meant for the guy giving the plug, and not to your cues in general. Maybe you should snap a good pic of one of your cues you are very proud of and post it up here. I, for one, would like to see it.

That being said, there are some true monsters being entered in this thread. So many amazing cues, it is hard for me to decide which is my favorite. I am partial to Boars since I have one, but I really likt the Wayne, and the herringbone Gina, and the Manzinos. And pretty much all of the others as well. Thanks everyone for posting, and I hope they keep coming.

i have plenty of class.....however when he talked about cues made for friends of mine and myself...i had to draw the line....if anyone should be apologizing it is the OP with 19 post...dont attack me and i wont attack back....and i stand by what i posted in my first post....apparently he was serious in saying that we are affraid that our cues would fall apart. .MICKEY CARROLL

Maybe everyone could just let this go now. I for one would like to see posts with some more awesome cues. I don't want the mention of my cues to ruin the purpose of a great thread. This thread wasn't made to cause a discussion on what qualifies or belongs here, it is just as a place to post your best cues. I am glad I had a customer who really liked my work, but the last thing I want is to have this thread hijacked with the discussion over them. Now, show me your cues....it inspires me to be a better builder.........

i am also glad when customers are happy with there cues....it doesnt happen often enought....i think you have handled everything with class and i for one am interested in seeing your cues in person....as you can never have enought cue makers that go the extra mile to please there customers...i in no way was attacking you or your cues just standing up for my cue in this thread and my buddies cues posted in it and the great thread that jaime started....gl with your cuemaking mickey carroll

i like your attitude.

you are about an hour from me. when i have some free time i would like to visit your shop and discuss having a cue made.

Not cue of the year but pretty sweet!

Here's one I ordered and took delivery of this year. Andy's a great guy to order a cue from.

i do not know if the guy was talking about the cues litteraly falling apart, but most people that buy high end cues treat them like they are afraid the cues would fall apart.

i highly doubt very many of the cues posted in this thread are actually taken to a pool hall and played with. most people would think it is blasphemy to even think about breaking with one. it is understandable to treat a cue that way as much as you have invested in it.

to all those that are financialy able to buy a 10,000.00 to 20.000.00 wall hanger i want to say i am glad you have done well in life.

i think the poster went a little overboard praising his 170.00 cue , but to those who belittled him i refer you to the old saying... ones mans trash is another mans treasure.

along these lines i got a funny story for you.

i was in the pool hall a while back with my new player when a friend came up and started admiring my new cue. she asked if she could look at it, i said sure and handed it to her. she was holding it and asked if i minded telling her how much it cost. i said 5,000.00. she started trembling and handed it back. i asked whats wrong ? she said she just got nervous handling a piece of wood that cost more than her car. lol.

lorider i know that one of them goes to the pool hall....:D

$$$$

I think that top dollar amount of 20,000 is cutting a certain cue way short :)

There is at least 1 cue in here worth several times that amount, I'm sure u can guess which one that is

Did I miss something? Is there now a dollar limit on the amount the cue entered cost? I hope that is not true. I am pretty sure I managed to confuse myself, yet again. No surprise there!

I love that Gilbert cue, especially the color combination. It reminds me of the Fall up here in the northeast. Awesome cue.

No. No dollar limit. Lorider was making a reference to high end cues and put an arbitrary price range in his post of $10k - $20k.

9BallKing was just saying that one of the cue in this thread cost MUCH more than $20k. Truth is, there are SEVERAL cues in this thread that probably sell for higher than that. But no. There is no minimum value for a cue to be considered for 'Cue of the Year' as far as I can tell.

Frankly, outside of post 95, I think the mods should cut the last 2 pages from this thread to get it back on track.

Hi,

I don't think there is one cue maker with a cue posted hear that built their cue with the predisposition that no one would play with it. Building a Plain Jane and comparing it to Masterpiece type cues, then somehow casting a doubt the these fine cues aren't players or will fall apart is dog breath personafied. Very inappropriate and not the time or place for that type of talk.

I would bet the farm that each cue plays exactly the way that individual CM features in their design playability. To think any other way does not make sense.

I agree with your assessment that it is the people who own the cue that would be reluctant to play with them for other reasons. I understand there seems to be more value when they say unchalked and I get that.

Rick

JMO,

Rick

please forgive me for not making my post more clear. i was not questioning the playability of any cue posted on here. most of the high end cues are not purchased as an every day player and thus are not treated as one. thats the point i was trying to make.

i also am glad this thread was started so we all can drool over some very beautiful cues. i do admire the artistic ability and the level of crafstmanship by the cuemakers that are being displayed on here.

yes i just threw that 10 to 20 thousand figure out there. several cues are around that price. i do realize some cues on here are a lot more than that, some more than my yearly salary. but this thread is not about the prices of them.

yea tatoo i can believe a few cues on here seeing a pool hall once in a while but i just cant see someone buying richard harriss's rockola and taking it to league night. i know i would not. lol.

to every one on here please accept my apology for sidetracking this thread and lets see some more outstanding cues on here.
