CSI & the Boys & Girls clubs

CSI agrees with this.
We are starting (In September) a Boys & Girls Club program with Marc & Kimberely Griffiths.

The apps and website are hoping to be done by mid July (to show at the BCAPL Nationals). The game is 6 pocket - because it has to be a very simple rules game, and it has to be a singles sompetition (initially) with a methiod of keeping score to show improvement.

We are REAL excited about this - and more will be coming after we recuperate after running our Nationals July 17-17 at the Rio in Vegas.

We are also proud to be hosting the BEF Junior National 9-Ball Championships!

I'd invest my money in the kids learning the game. Get them free table time and instructors. I have sponsored a local kid, giving him a nice cue and have watched his improvements over time. Priceless I tells ya. It's not an investment for the money, but for someone elses well being.

I really, really like the idea of getting the Boys and Girls Clubs involved. This is good news.

Long time ago, other youth organizations like 4-H were popular for youth in Rural America. In the cities, however, the youth progarms were few and far in between.

You have the Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts, but I don't think we'll ever see a pocket billiards badge on their sash in my lifetime. :grin-square:

The Boys and Girls Clubs will keep the kids off the street and give them something to do. If it garners more interest in pool, that's a good thing.

Where's that Like button!?

I've often wished there was a Like button as well. I think the closes we get is the ability to "rate" the thread. I'm sure you knew that already, but I don't know that everyone does.

And again, it only rates the thread, not a specific post within. My guess is it is probably under utilized. And I've never looked at a thread simply because it had a good rating (very few have any rating).
