How does a player get on the AzB ranking list? Thanks in advance for any info on this subject.

I know to move up, it is based upon views.

How to get on initially, I don't know. I suspect the tourney results have to be set to someone in charge of the site.

ranking list

If you want to get in the ranking list you must play in tournaments, later on the results are send with an article detailing who won and the works to az or magazines along with pics, etc
After a while the data is collected and view by the magazine and they have a source of info to compile
The better prestige of the tournament will insured the article of details, if you play at the local level there is no way to rank
I hope this was helpfull

Thank for the replies. Yes it was helpful. Was just curious why Jesse Engel does not have a ranking.

Only the top 30 (or 50) are listed normally. To see how Jesse is doing this year, go to the "Player Finder" link on the Players page: http://www.azbilliards.com/thepros/2000playerfinder.php
and then find him in the alphabetized list. All the tournaments he has cashed in are listed. He is at $9125 for the year.
It seems that there are two ranking lists -- AZB rankings and money leaders. #30 on the 2011 money list is Dennis Hatch with about $27000.

Player rankings based on someone's view?

Is that correct that it's a kind of vote based on different criteria analyzed and then ranked by humans? Kind of like the college football poll? Or did I misunderstand?
