I am back online through a back door, but it is very slow, about like a dial up. Please PM me with any questions, etc.

Joe could you elaborate because I can't get on at all from my home computer as well. It only seems to be A-Z that is affected. All of the other sights I have no problems with. I also can get on no problem from work. I use Verizon Dsl at the house and roadrunner here at work. Anybody got any Ideas?

I couldn't get on at all yesterday !
Today is fine though...
I'm on DSL extreme

These type of issues are usually routing and DNS issues on the ISP end and there is nothing you can do besides waiting until one of the routers gets reset. Sometimes by unplugging your DSL for an hour or so does the trick because your connection to the internet my get rerouted by a different router and then you are on again!

I use Verizon DSL and can not get on with it.

My son is a network security guy, and he gave me a proxy site. I can log on through it, but it is slower. It uses west coats sites. Try logging on to this site, then logging on to the forum:

I've had similar problems with only this site over the last couple of days. It's not a problem with your dsl, or anything on our end, so don't bother unplugging, rebooting, etc. With several people reporting the same slow/no access issue with only this site, it seem clear that the issue is with the AZ servers.

As stated above Mr. Hoppe the issue is related to a routing problem on the internet. Having several people with the same access issue is notmal. If one of the main rounting spots is down, the traffic will be jammed and nobody will get thru.

Community has grown dramatically and servers are little rusty to hold the demand IMO :)

My theory...

Yesterday, there were two major internet cables cut off the coast of India, I believe. This has caused tremendous problems for people in those areas.

Many internet providers outsource their helpdesks, servers, etc overseas to save money. I believe the problem is with the companies who do this and the signals are not being routed from the east coast, overseas, and back to the west, like Arizona.

To substantiate my point, I have called Verizon's help desk for DSL support 2 times. I have reached support people located in the Phillipines and in Pakistan, I think. Neither of them would acknowledge that a problem existed, since I could get on the internet, and neither of them could tell me how to reach someone with Verizon DSL support who was located in the US.

I plan to do some research and see if I can find a provider who does not outsource to overseas locations and change my service away from Verizon.

The Internet is a packet switched network. It has been designed specifically to withstand individual route failures. The most likely cause of multiple failures accessing a single web site and not others is a fault involving that site itself. E.g., the AZ web server, database server, DNS hosts, or network gear related to the site's infrastructure. It is less likely that the issue is on the customer end when multiple users with different computers, different routers, different access methods (cable, dsl, etc) are all experiencing the same problems. I would have to know the details of the AZ hosting and network infrastructure to be more specific, but this is the conclusion that basic troubleshooting points to.

And yes, I am a computer systems engineer. ;)

Yupper... unless that Indian wire was the one used to plug this site's server into the wall,, then that aint the prob...

EVERYTHING else works...only this page with the issue...

I'm Facing The Same Problem Bama. I Had To Use That Back Door Site You Posted As Well. (thanks To Dave)

I Hadn't Been Able To Get On At My Shop Since Weds Night. I Reset Everything Here, Trying To Create A New Ip And It Didn't Help.

I too was having the same problem but the unplug thing worked for me. I unplugged my wireless router and modem for a few minutes. Problem solved for me anyway.

Thanks Bama . your link has allowed me to get on from home . Anybody got any idea how long it usually takes them to fix this?
