I feel bad for you. No way that your cue should have been put into orbit before you had a chance to see what you were getting.

Lots of people think they can build a cue. It is tough to build a quality cue...ask the ones who do it.

Maybe now we understand why he never posted any pix in any of his threads.

You have to know who your dealing with.....

I feel for the person who lost his cue, but if it were me I would have checked the OP out before sending any cue to him. If that's the guy ( BarBoxer) if you look at his profile he has not been around to long. This is going to keep happening until people check out who they dealing with. Sorry to hear about your loss. Best of luck getting back what you lost.:confused:

Your cue should have never been sold, if your not happy with the cue as part of your deal, he should return your cue, which he sold. Or refund you on your cue. Is what he sold your cue for what you was asking? If so tell him to send you the funds and send this cue maker back his cue he made. And if this problem can't get fixed please send "post" his name, user name, phone, cell # and address or paypal email. So Everyone on here won't deal with him... Again sorry for this problem. I hope you can get this all worked out. Dom

Not that my vote counts, but I second the pics. Maybe he sold your cue fast because he knew that he would have a hard time selling what he made for you. He probably just sent you a cue he already had laying around. Sorry you got shafted.

I'm guessing the mods are taking a good look at the proliferation of these types of posts and trying to decide what to do about them. It could get out of control real fast. Imagine having to battle your way through a growing field of these just to find something for sale!
 
I made a mistake and tried to make it right by making him another cue and he agreed. I have all the text to prove that he agreed to this and it was wrong for me to sell the joss so soon. The guy didn't give me a chance to make it right before posting this.

I really like the idea of a bad action subforum, with an updated list. I think thats what itrader was intended to do, but has the flaw that anyone can leave it, and for any reason. It becomes not worth leaving bad itrader due to the fear of them doing it to, even though there is no warrant to the negative feedback.

I also think that having a gold only area, with its own wfs subforum would be awesome.

That would really be no different than the Good Action List thats in the action room, which is a good idea and seems to be effective. A sticky or something just to keep the deals gone bad and dispute threads in their own place. Since there is already 8 sticky sections in the WFS area would it be impossible to migrate the non-wfs threads to the Buyer / Seller Transaction Report area....it already sounds like thats what its meant for :shrug:

Well how long are you going to make him wait for another wobbly cue ? And by my count that's two mistakes notwithstanding joining this forum. Sorry to bump y'alls products down by 1. I think if these threads go somewhere else then they won't get seen where it matters most.

P.S. A lot of these threads are folks getting nervous. Case in point. I put a check in the mail Monday and it was not received until Saturday, going 600 miles. WTF, over. Well thankfully a new thread wasn't started over the mail being slow.

Sorry to hear ur deal went south I know on few sites I'm on they won't even let u look at or post in for sale until u have so many post also have a member introduction too make sure ur real and not just someone maken a name too scam idk maybe something like that could be done or not lol what do I know hope everything works out:thumbup:

Until both party's are happy you don't sell anything.

He calms we are square..NO WE ARE NOT. u said you was gonna make me another cue, and i come to realize that i dont want the same issue or problems with any cue you make..I simply want my cue back with both shafts or the money. i dont want anything to do with your cues.
 
The only way I would work a trade on a cue is if somebody send theirs first. If you list a cue for trade and let "2 cues pass in the night by mail" you are wide open to be screwed. By the way he probably never sold it and just said that so he could dump his warped cue on you. If he sold it to somebody then he should go to them and buy it back to return to you. You were scammed and this guys reputation is completely shot in my eyes.
I would tell him you are returning his cue and want to be paid the value of the cue he sold. This is the only fair solution now. He's probably a self centered con man and you will get nowhere.
 
BARBOXER- You should send this member the value of the cue you sold and accept the cue you made. If you do that then you have made him as whole as you possibly can.
 
The W/FS Section desperately needs a "Good Action" "Bad Action" list, where you need to be vouched for to get on it. These kinds of things are unacceptable.
 
just to let everyone know i will be taking pics and a video of the cue and shafts..and will be mailing back his cue. i am sure i will not get my cue back or money, but he will be getting his back
 
I would hold on to the cue until you reach an agreement. Not only is it evidence if it went that far. I also think you may lose some control once you ship it out. I dont see any value in handling that way.

I had a look at this cue in question tonight. I know that it is only one sample, but I have to question the ability of this guy calling himself a cue maker. Both shafts were rough and unfinished, as was the cue. The one shaft I fit onto the cue was more than 1mm thinner in radius, and the pin end of the cue never touched the table when rolled separately, due to it's weird shape.

I hate to bad mouth people, but I don't like taking advantage of anyone, or seeing anyone else taken advantage of, and if this guy thinks his cues are of any quality, he needs a reality check. Sanding down a bar cue, cutting it in half and putting a pin in it doesn't make you a cue maker by any means.
