Bad experience with Barrosm (Manny)!!

I can't say what's happened here, but when I bought Manny's AE cue it was a simple deal. I posted him a postal money order for the cue and shipping and he shipped the cue upon receipt. Then he wanted to give back some money because the shaft had more bluing than he had expected. From what's posted so far you haven't even sent payment to the middleman and are surprised the cue isn't shipped?
 
I'm staying out of these threads from now on. Only reason I'm writing this now is because in the past I sort of stuck up for Manny saying maybe we should give him the benefit of the doubt.

I now see I was wrong and made a fool of myself..

I know the feeling,I stuck up for the guy thinking it was one deal gone bad but its been about 4,if one person says you stink then you might overlook it but when several people tell you it then you are in need of a bath. :cool:
 
I feel the same. I even offered to fix a cracked ivory ferrule on one of his bad deals from az. Then I was contacted many times on and off azb telling me he is always looking for an edge to get over on ppl. Anything for a quick buck. The only reason he is green is bc he refunded a previous bad deal. I dont know what to say. One bad deal in hundreds is explainable but 4 out of 5-10 is crazy. I feel stupid but I guess everyone was right

Really sorry you went through this. I have been off AZ for a couple of days, so I haven't read about all the updates. I took a few low blows (not from you, but just some azer's making comments as if it was my fault he stopped the deal) after you asked for information on him in your original thread, but true to my word, he screwed you over.

Manny himself pm'd me (which in itself is amazing because his mailbox ALWAYS seems to go down during a crucial part of a conversation or transaction) and asked me not to say anymore bad things about him. I replied to him telling him that I was just stating the facts, never meaning to tell people he was a bad person for everyone to deal with, he just screwed me over. Then another member listed on that thread that the same thing that happened to me happened to him with the White cue. And sadly, the same to you as well.

I don't know how, but I suggest people just ignore him alltogether, he is nothing but Trouble and disgraces the people buyer-to-buyer market.

Be glad you didn't loose your money, and don't worry about him hanging up on you. His voice is rather annoying anyway.

One last thing, I find it sooooo funny and ironic that when I 1st spoke to him about buying his AE cue, he told me to "make sure I wanted the cue before commiting because if I backed out, the AZ members would REALLY bash me" LOLOLOL

Was there a misunderstanding or did you decide to not follow through with the deal?
 
O yea, about that last pm I sent him telling him I was simply stating the facts, he never responded. I guess his mailbox went down.
 
Maybe we should have a sticky thread about how to buy a cue off of AZ. Things like ask for references, how to use the search feature, etc. Newbies see a great deal and jump on it before doing the research and can get burnt. I'm not taking any sides here as I dont know either person but it seems no matter how much I dog someone, somebody still buys a cue from them.
 
What is kind of interesting is, early afternoon when the thread was started and there were quite a few comments on here, barrosm was online and saw the thread for sure. He does not dare to post here for sure.

I don't understand why you would mock the situation after you have wasted my time. If you did not want to sell the cue, why not just tell me? Why did you make me jump through hoops to see nothing at the end? I don't have to have your cue.....and I definitely don't have time to mess with liars like you.

I dont think mocking qualifies and what he did probably wont qualify for a ban either,but red repping is all that can be done presently. ;)
