Bad Joint Protectors made by Lonnie Wilber, he will not refund? what would you do?

Actually, I apologize for my previous post. The best course of action here would be to get ahold of the SpankysBilliards guy and have him run a raffle for these... Since you will still have them after the raffle, you could then attempt to get a full/partial refund from the master craftsman.

Just read the post

Just read the post, I bought a set on ebay and the same thing happened, they didnt fit right, he sent me a new pair, and those didnt fit right and then I just dropped the case because it wasnt worth it, they didnt get any better but he tried...he is a nice guy as far as his dealings with me, just not a cuemaker nor a joint protector maker---perhaps he should widdle other things that dont need to line up even with the shaft and joint...I did get made fun of at the poolroom when I pulled out those funky shaped JPs..the finish was actually not too bad, it was the fit that really peeved me.
LOL!

Greenhornet,
You don't need to deal directly with the maker of those jps to get your money back if you paid by credit card. Contact your credit card company and file a dispute. If your PayPal account is linked to your bank account or debit card then you need to do it through PayPal.

Good Luck,
Peter

thanks i will. and yes tose jp's above are by the same maker as mine. he was a nicee guy and he did try to fix them but months after he though he won the war and finished he thought they were gods gift ot the earth and they looked like crap. and yes the fit is what pissed me off.

Sorry to hear your misfortune! Good luck with the claim! You wont be dissapointed with Chad's work (CAM Cues). ALL of the cues in my collection have matching jp's made by Chad. Link to cue collection!

That viking demo cue is something else. Not pretty imo, but definitely something special. Does it compare to normal vikings play-wise?

Never really played with it, just a few test hits. It's primarily used to show customers what different wraps and rings look like one a cue.

Thanks,

I did not realize that Stevie Wonder was making joint protectors.

I just read the thread from the very beginning. The first time I saw the pics I was thinking exactly the same. Hell I think Stevie Wonder can do a better job!!!

I'm feel your pain brother. $60, that's alot of money for a very "EXOTIC" JPs. If he is within driving distance, well I'd rather not say what I would do! Like someone said earlier, that JP are a VERY EFFECTIVE THEFT DETERRENT System!!! LOL :D :D

Take care

You should take those to the Allen Hopkins trade show. I'm sure someone will love them. They are truely one of a kind:

yes no one will steal my shit now. haha.

first $25 takes them, anyone? i have 2 sets. 6 jp's

60 wasnt to bad to order them to be made to that specific way compared to other quotes i received. I should not have tried to save the 25-30 and went to steve kornele. but cam's are awesome

i just got my jp's in from cam custon cues and they are beautiful. what great work he does. i highy reccomend them.

I think they are great as protectors! If you put your cue in your case with the joint protectors facing out, your cue will never be stolen. The minute someone attempts to pull your cue out and sees the JPs, they will slowly push them back in and leave your's alone.:) Those are the worst I have EVER seen.

That's hilarious.

They laughed at Picasso too. Who says points have to look like points anyway?

enough,

I've read this thread a couple of times, and what I see is not good. you wanted to save some money and the person that made those is handicapped. He probably did the best that he could and went to the effort of making you a second set. "The Saint Siwa" would rather not say what he would do if it happened to him and he was within driving distance. Personally I like helping the handicapped, and if it happened to me, well, I would take it with a grain of salt and spend the money on a good set of JP's. If it's the money then just PM me your address and I will send you the 60.00 if it will make you feel better. I am discouraged reading about all the negitive stuff from people who spend so much money on a good cue and the cut up some poor bastard trying to please you with what may be the best work he can do.
If you want to cut me up help yourselves for I have skin as thick as leather and can take it. Have a good day all

Yawn,

1. He said he could do it
2. Work looks like crap
3. He charged 6x his normal price
4. Being handicapped is no excuse for selling substandard product(s), I am sure there are many handicap individuals who would take offense to you thinking otherwise.
5. If you want the JP's I am more than certain GH will sell them to you @ $60 for two sets.

Terrific! Will you pay me for the crap shafts that Skip Weston made for me to? I'm afraid it is all about the money...I could definately use the $300+ dollars....in return for your generosity I'll even send you these two pieces of firewood that he made me. LOL By the way, it will make me feel alot better.

Thanks for your wonderful generosity. Doug

Wizardnblue, I don't discriminate or justify people by their handicap. I don't dislike handicap people, I believe some handicaps got more talents than most of normal people.

On top of what MikeH said on the previous page, there is 1 main problem. The JP maker refused to give a refund. The way I see it, if I buy something, once it arrives and doesn't meet the specs, I will contact the seller and try to resolve it. If we can't find a solution, I will send the merchandise back and I want the seller to refund my money and we go our separate way. Nothing personal, no heart feeling, all just business.

I hope this clear up my previous post.

Thank's
Steve

"If he is within driving distance, well I'd rather not say what I would do!"

That sounds to me like a hint of a physical threat. I think that is what wizard was referring to. You say you don't discriminate by handicap, does that mean you would inflict violence on them equally? Would your urge to deck a man in a wheelchair over $60 be the same as decking an able bodied man?

I don't think the maker of the jp's should be given a free pass either, not at all, but the statement you made seemed insensitive to me.

Kelly

Is this guy not going to post and defend himself? I think you got a raw deal myself. Those JPs are garbage.

Sometimes you just need to be cruel to be kind. If he considers these as acceptable work he needs to consider doing something else with his time.
Personally these look like a joke pair of jp's; they are soooo bad. But he is charging quite a bit of money for them, so thats where it becomes a problem.
