Bad Joint Protectors made by Lonnie Wilber, he will not refund? what would you do?

Turn those around and take a picture they may say DP 1/1 on them. That is truly some crappy work, but atleast you got something? And it will make for a good story at your local pool hall... Thanks for the heads up, I will continue to use delrin jp's.

You think these suck, the first set were twice as bad!! I know because I had them in my hand. I bought the sneaky pete that they were made to match. I could'nt beleive how bad they looked and gave them back to Mike. Vin

oh yeah you did see the first set chenz. i sold a cue to chenz and i was so embarrassed to ask him if he wanted these so he at least had something for them. this was the first set. they were that bad that he didnt want them. these new ones aren't much better. that goes to show you what he tried to first give me. i was embarrassed to have them in my possesion.



oh i like the DP 1/1 post. thats funny.
 
I've hade the same problem with J/P on ebay. I received one pare almost as bad as yours. The guy disappeared,never answered any emails, no idea what happened to him. Go with Steve Kornele, I have a set from him now and in the process of ordering another set. Actually for the work he does the price isn't that bad and he's a great guy to do business with..
 
wow! those were really hideous looking...
but to this guy's defense he states in one of his other auctions that he's handicapped and makes these things (i refuse to call them joint protectors :) ) just to stay busy. can't really help but feel a little sorry for the guy.

If he won't give you a refund, i'd tell myself that I made a mistake dealing with this guy and throw those things in the trash. I've never seen worse looking JP's in my life.
 
He lives just north of Saginaw Bay....I think the cold winters have frozen his brain...he's a disgrace to Michigan....

The d/p 1of 1 thing is some good stuff.I have a d/p cue that could go with those j/ps.I bought it be fore I knew any better and have had it for a long time now.
 
Let's hope reading this thread will be an eye-opener for him, those are absolutely unacceptable.

Skip made no effort to make things right and just left me with two pieces of firewood. All I can say is that there are people out there that have no sense of decency or ethics. Be glad that this lesson only cost you what it did...my "firewood" cost me over $300.

Maybe Skip Weston and this guy are related. Look on the bright side, maybe by posting this stuff, other potential buyers can look out for this guy. :mad:

Yes, you have told your rendition of the story MANY times, and no, it does not bear repeating! Your 'crappy' shafts from Skip have NOTHING to do with these crappy j/p's from Lonnie Wilber. To even bring this issue up here in a completely unrelated thread just shows that you have nothing better to do, or offer, than to troll these forums looking for opportunities to trash Skip, not to mention an attempted thread hi-jack.

Yep Lisa,

My crappy shafts and bad dealing with Skip have every thing to do with this guys thread. He asked what fellow posters would do and I gave my impression based on my own personal dealings with being sold junk. Namely, chaulk it up to a bad deal and move on....especially when they guy refused to make things right.

As far as trashing Skip...well, when someone screws me and sells me junk, it's my choice if want to alert others to my bad dealings. I'll mention Skip as much as I choose....just as much as you keep ranting and raving about how great Skip is. Frankly, every time you plug Skip, I want to vomit...go take your own advice.

If it was all I ever posted about, you'd have a point...however, I'd like to think, and apparently some agree, that I have much more to offer, besides liking the two cues I have/had from Skip, and I am a slouch compared to those others that have multiple cues of his, and seem to be happy with them. I have had nothing but pleasant dealings with the man, and it just makes me wonder what the hell you did to piss him off!! And you can be unhappy all you want, that is your right, but it is not your right to hi-jack someone elses thread to take another jab.

I did nothing to "piss him off", except tell him about all the problems with the work that he did. Perhaps he doesn't take criticism well. At any rate, that's great that your cues worked out for you - congratulations.

You can get off his hi-jack concept lady...my post has everything to do with this thread. If anything, you're "hi-jacking" it by engaging in debate with me. That being said....debate over. Good day.
