Bad news- there's a thief amoungst us

I wonder what the good pool player to dirtbag pool player ratio is in different parts of the country.
But to give you an example, i have seen good people turn bad because they are broke, and as such, they go down the dark path never to return.
I have also seen TOURNAMENT DIRECTORS who don't need the money, try and sneak off with stuff.
SO, having said that, it is the PLAYERS responsibility to keep track of their stuff.
Because, quite frankly, i don't care who you are, you can't trust ANYONE!
Too many evil people hanging around.
That is not trying to paint all pool players in a bad light, but the fact of the matter is it's TRUE.
Doesn't make a difference how many good people you have, you are going to have some scumbags thrown in, and most of those are CLOSET scumbags, so you won't know they are bad till your missing something.
I'd be willing to bet that everyone on this forum knows at least 1 dirtbag in pool.
If you don't, then consider yourself lucky.

If TR robbed me of cash like that, he would have been found in concrete blocks in the river, and i would have been at the local food joint buying myself a nice fat steak.
Being a Republican, I am against scumbags and closet scumbags. I also oppose scumbag marriages.
It's really not entirely my fault Trigger, I actually tried handing out trial size bottles of Scope at local tournaments years ago....no takers.

What does "honor among thieves" have to do with this ? were the guys that had their cues stolen thieves.
Erica, that is terrible!!!!!! But aint it pretty tough to walk out w/ someones whole case.....??? Inany case it happen and I feel bad and I don't even no them.
If I cought someone taking someones $hit, mine or a friends I would hold them down and break each finger one by one. And I think a few will agree...

Happened last night here in providence to my friend and serious student who has been busting her butt the last 6-10 months working on her game. 1 predator sneaky pete with steal joint, 1 predator break stick, a small no name jump cue in a hard black case, oh yeah, don't forget the car keys, locksmith just left a little while ago.
Could have happened to almost any of us because we get a little comfortable surrounded by the regular tournament players. It all comes around. She's okay today and was very upset at 8pm last night when it happened but hung in there and shared 2nd place in the tournament which covered the locksmith today. Good job holding it together kid!
Worst thing now is getting a new cue and then getting use to it.

I guess some of the phrasing, I used, could have been better. I always thought, you don't steal from your own kind, or anyone, for that matter. Whatever I said, the look on the ladies face after she was robbed and while I had the unfortunate experience of playing her next, sickened me. I know this ladie well and she's a mother of six that's working her ass off trying to get as far as her game will take her, and some a-hole, is doing there best to ruin her dream. It takes time to get used to new equipment and the cost incurred suck even more.
My intention was to make people aware of the problem. I think with the amount of replies and views, in a short span of time, I've done what I set out to do.
Don't take this the wrong way, but, I have a hard time finding humor in other people's misery. Especially a lady as nice as Liz. Mike didn't deserve his fate either.

Amusingly and topically enough, the one time I went to see King Missile play, I ended up shooting some on the venue's barbox with the band's drummer. This was before they went on, and I had no idea the guy was part of the band 'til I saw him walk out on stage later. Har.
I think I know now why it was stolen... ^^^
People should be more careful with their easily-grabbed property. There are scumbags everywhere.
