Bad Problem with John Showman, (Cue Stolen)

Lol, are you John's pal?

"Hey John, I've got a bet for $5,000 so come say hi"

Well, If you remember the other incident, he waited for the dust to settle before responding. I'm sure he will do the same this time. I think he should.

Respond and say what? Give me your email address and I will forward Showman's email of 4/10/15 wherein he admitted there was no excuse for his failure to complete the project. Showman is long on excuses and very short on keeping his promises. Enough said.

By the way, neither I nor all the folks he has not be straight with over the years, and judging by the posts to this thread, there are boat loads of them, are going to let the "dust settle" on this thread.

Oh, no need to send me the emails. I believe you 100% and agree with you. I wish I could fix it for you and have this not have happened. As far as some other posters, I believe your situation is different. Your cue is long overdue. I do not know what he can say or will say? But I am sure he will say something. Hopefully it's just a tracking number.

Mike,

I hope this comes to an end, and you get your cue back. Sometimes is a matter of character or lacking of. All the guessing and assumed business practices will not change That.

It's a pool cue . You don't need a Showman to play good pool . Just ask Shane. People buy these cues to impress or to flip for a profit. I've done it so I know. Some of the best cues I've ever played with have been inexpensive or moderately priced cues and you don't have to freak out if it gets a ding or scratch on it and start worrying about your precious investment cue.
Was that a 77 Gremlin I saw you drive up in ?

Well you're wrong in one respect. "People" don't buy "these" cues to "impress" ONLY. They buy because VERY FEW can do what only a very few can do PERIOD. Sure, you may find a gem here and there that "play" well enough for a good player to adjust but that's not the situation I commented on. It's a FACT that John makes one of the finest cues money can buy. Taking in to account what you can get comparable, they are worth the money paid and those who dont think so are either naive or just don't know what a top quality cue is.... NOW that said, this situation with Mike which I whole heartedly support, and many others, is such a travesty. I do not condone these types of actions and do not support THEM in ANY way. That does not change the quality of product produced nor is it nessesarily the kiss of death for their future value. THAT'S what my point was...

Mike,
Post #173 is John Showman. He PM'd me a few weeks ago as Merylane. Although I do not know him and do not own a cue, It definitely was him. Hopefully, you both can work things out and a positive outcome for each other.
Phil

i agree .

So, Showman finally posts to this thread and all he can say is "I agree." He must love all the negative attention. I'll be contacting law enforcement officials by the end of the week if Big John has not returned my cue. I would love to post a photo of him in handcuffs being walked out of his house.

Showman posted to this thread this morning at 1:30 am. I sure hope he was up either finishing the project or boxing up my cue in whatever condition it is in to be shipped back to me.

Do you think John needs to take new orders? Do you think if he called any of the customers on his books tomorrow and told them that there cue is ready that any of them would turn down the cue? Not that what is going on with mike is right. Just the way it is

Just the way it is? So if you were the one trying to get your cue back from Mr. Showman you would just keep saying "just the way it is"?

There is a real simple solution. Send back the cue and the money and end this tragedy.

Well yes that Is what I did and what I said...you can only take so much...and then you get to the point were enough is enough...then you see threads like mikes....it sucks but it wasn't the first of its type and for sure it will not be the last......SO ONCE AGAIN "just the way it is"
