bad tip intallation technique?

It wont let me open it...and the pic you had in the earlier post doesnt show either...grrrrr...lol

Good for phenolic and G-10 material...but leather, it will grab if not careful.

I taped my tip installing technique last night.
Put on a couple ultra skins
One is the new HH
And the other is a pressed H

Ouch.
This is a pretty old vid I taped,
2 lathes ago anyway.
When I cut this tip off, all the glue came with the old tip, so I didn't really need to use carbide to face the Ferrulle, the blade scraped the glue off easy enough.
I don't use the tip shaper from unique anymore, I've switched to using a template like the one bob Dz sells.

I'd suggest not wearing a bracelet around spinning equipment.

I probably shouldn't wear my bracelet when using the lathe...
Except I've worn it since before I ever saw a lathe.
It was brazed together, finally wore through earlier in the week, and I feel really weird without it on.
I'm not at all worried about catching it on the lathe or chuck, I know where it hangs as is I've worn it for 15 years
