BALABUSHKA 1 0f 1 CUSTOM

real classy

Ill haul it it away and only charge you $50.00 for my trouble
i think thats about the fairest offer a man could ever make
add $25.00 more if i have to take that case also you pay shipping thanks

Nice to see some things haven't changed. At least you're spending your time making comments and not screwing people over.

always

I owned two of this series, GB 4 and a GB 6 in 1999. They both played very well and were made well. I played with both of them and sold them over the years. They are still out there. This will make somebody a very nice cue. I like the story and can appriciate the cue for what it is.
JMHO, Don

A gentleman. Rep to you and a bump for a pretty cue.

I don't have a problem with being a smart ass, but in this case there was no call for it. The OP posted a cue for sale, it is a nice cue, its not a original GB, but it is still a very nice cue at a reasonable starting price.

No reason for all the low ball smart ass comments. Its not like the guy trying to sell a willie mosconi cue for 1500 that was 4 dollars new at k-mart, and not worth much now. This cue was a special order, from cue building company that has been around for a very long time. They build quality cues, at lower prices, but that doesn't mean they are junk.

what most here fail to realize is if you put "make offer by pm", then a lot of posts start out with "we'll start at $100" or something of that nature.

I've said it a hundred times - IF YOU HAVE SOMETHING FOR SALE, POST A PRICE!!!!!!

That would alleviate the majority of stupid offers. I think that the reason the OP didn't do so is they expected someone to submit a rediculously high offer - which a lot of people tend to wish for...

wow - classless. truly classess. and even better it came from a seller who's sales practices have taken more than a few knocks on these forums. it's a nice cue and it's being offered for sale for she wants to sell it for, isn't that how you try sell something? way to go for making the az community look good.

ross,
i agree with you on posting prices, however, some of the things said in this thread were below the belt and the seller evnentually did post a price. i don't mind some of the light hearted teasing but when you start going to the tasteless side of things i don't think that's right even if a price isn't posted. it makes us all look like a sack of b*stards with keyboards.

All PM's now answered-Sorry for delay due to work.

Oh My-Just caught up On All The Posts-Yikes!

Thank you to all the "White Knights In Shining Armor"
that protected me from the "Black Knights In Rusty Armor"

Looks pretty friggin custom to me. Did you see the built sheet? Try getting one of those for your off-the-shelf McD or Viking...or Adam ,ftm.

Build sheet or not its still an Adam, is it not?

I wish the lady nothing but luck on this sale. I'm just trying to tell her why some of these folks are getting hostile.

would personally rather have the Adam than the meucci in your avatar, but no one feels the need to ridicule your cue choice do they?

Nothing at all wrong with Adams cues. Is it worth 1200, maybe it is, maybe it isn't but that really isn't your or my call is it?

~would rather have the beat up searing that Ross owns than most anything else personally~

Honestly I dont care what people think about my cues. Your word is worthless to me as mine probably is to the original posters. I shoot with what I like, so ridicule all you want buddy it doesnt bother me one bit.

I never said there was anything wrong with Adam Cues. I could be wrong but I dont think I've ever seen a 1200 dollar Adam Cue here since I've been posting here. I could be wrong and it wouldnt be the first or last time.

Here's one with a retail price of $1,375 that seems to be less fancy than the one the OP has listed:

Interesting to note: That model is custom #3 and I believe the one for sale here is custom #1. So, for the die-hard Adams cue collector, that could add value as well, being the first custom Adams/Balabushka has done.

Any Adams experts here? I'm just curious, but are these full-spliced or just a short-splice? The link cue appears to be a full-splice, but there are ways to make it appear that way when it is not... I know some of the older cues coming out of Japan were full-splice, and the fit was quite good on them too...

my opinion only is........the seller in the beginning went on in her post about how her husband thought of this cue, gave his all in thinking of this cue and wanted the best and closest to a real balabushka that he could in todays market, she is about as far from that as possible. She has a import cue made by a factory, not a collectable in todays market, if she put it on here," i have a adams tribute cue, that the company built to my husbands likes " than there would be no flack, but the long list of oh look at what we had built how great and awsome this Balabushka 1/1...... this was just a " used car " sales pitch, try and real in the lure with a big fish, ( fish ) I mean a foolish person who thinks this cue has a value of $ 1200.00 being a Adams in todays market, she was going to get blasted on here when she started typing. This is still a forum, so anything can be typed.............

NOTE: THE COST TO HAVE SOMEONE IN THE U.S.A MAKE THIS CUE WOULD HAVE BEEN ALOT MORE, THE CHEAP WAY OUT WAS TO HAVE A FORIEN COMPANY THAT MAKES CUES BUILD IT, AS IN ADAMS, THEY MAKE A GOOD CUE, BUT NO FUTURE FOR THE COLLECTOR MARKET.............THEY DO PLAY NICE, A LITTLE FAT ON THERE SHAFTS THOUGH................OTB

Well Well-This coming from a walking billboard on AZ-Salesman types on AZ, like you, think everyone thinks like you. Well here's what I think-You're the used car saleman & foolish one and don't have a clue about this particular cue. You've never seen the cue, weren't involved with it's engineering, manufacture, or design or parties involved, but seem to know everything. Further, you have no idea what extreme work went into this cue to get it perfect and the select materials and build that was used.....I put this cue on here ONLY because it deserves appreciation and a owner who will play and enjoy it. The cue is a monster plain & simple whether you like it or not. It will NEVER go to fleebay, deserves way better and I really don't care if it sells or not from ANY financial standpoint. If you really believe this is over money you're a complete idiot - Maybe I should come up to your store with all of my rich cute girl friends and picket you LOL!

As I stated everyone is entitled to there opinion, I did not state this is how everyone thinks, why do you have to say " rich cute girl friends " and about you not needing money.....just a little to self centerd and soap box'sh........no one said you needed money or anything about your " rich cute girl friends " as too the picketing, that would be awsome...free advertisment.......news at eleven....you were so proud of ; how did you put it" look at my Fleebay rating "......yet you put down your market area............a retort is most welcomed.............

This post saddens me :(, but doesn't surprise me. It's posts like these that makes me furious. But there's not a darn thing I can do about it other than maybe spreading a little rep, both good and bad to those who are deserving of it, but it wouldn't make any diference in the end so I guess I'll just humbly post my own opinion.

BALABUSHKA_LADY .......... best of luck with your sale. If I had $1200.00 to spend right now on a cue, I'd gladly spend it on this cue. :) I'd be proud to own it.

Just this post alone makes the cue famous/infamous in a way and probably ups it's value.

Best regards,

Trevor

I think it is a very nice cue. In this market and on this board I think that finding a buyer for a high end production cue is difficult. Yes it is a 1 of 1 custom, but it is still from a mass producer. I think some of those who are a tad more hostile in this thread may have gotten their hopes up from the subject line of the thread hoping to see a true Balabushka and not an Adams "George Balabushka" tribute series cue.

There are a large number of 'production' cue collectors, and a few of them are Adams collectors. (I only have one cue from Adams, but not sure what line it is yet..) I think that your cue has potential to sell for $1200+, however it may be a longer sell. My suggestion if you truely wish to get this cue into the hands of someone who will love it, is to abandon this post, create a new one and have the subject line be Adams "Balabushka" 1 of 1 custom. Also as stated above post a price you are looking for, even if it is higher than you really want to allow for some negotiation. The higher end Balabushka Adams cues do go for 900-1000+ on E-bay, so you may find a buyer here who will pay what you are looking for on this 1 of 1.

The best of luck to you on your sale, and to a few of you, the best of luck in finding your bottle of prozak. :)
