Balabushka Tributes Jerry Rauenzahn

I asked Jerry to make a photo gallery of the cues he's making for all of us. It will take awhile before he'd have it complied since all of these cues have staggered completion dates. It would be cool to see all of these various Balabushka Tribute Cues in a photo.

There's little doubt that the progress photos of these various cues will be posted and naturally, we'll see the finished cue as well. If these individual cues could subsequently be photo-cropped into a group photo of these cues, it would be cool to see the various designs, veneers, rings, inlays that each of us has chosen.

My cue's design is easy to envision. Locate the Tim Scruggs Bushka Tribute owned by Kevin Lindstrom and that's the design Jerry is making with a couple of tweaks. Everyone undoubtedly has something specific in mind with their cues and it will be interesting to see how all these cues turn out.

Anyway, as others on the Forum will read and learn if they do not already know this, Jerry Rauenzahn is just a great person to use as a cue-maker. And future posts by other members of this Balabushka Tribute Cue Group will attest to this as well.

I'm sure Jerry would toast to that, I know I would.

You the MAN!!!

I just got these pictures of my five veneer Mosconi Forearm With BEM tribute Bushka cue in progress from Jerry, thought I would share.

I'm loving this thread! Great cues all, I'm so happy with my -R-; for the record, it's the best hitting cue I've ever had, and although there's some great full-splice makers, NO ONE does it better, now. I can see by the photos that his half splice work is just as good...I guess that's what they call his "points of perfection".

As a side note, since many of these Bushkas will likely have a SS joint...my -R- has a 5/16x14 joint that actually is a compression fit...a very nice surprise that I didn't expect, and man, does it feel good.

That five veneer cue up above is amazing...looking forward to seeing these as they progress!

Like Westpoint1987, I think this thread is great....there's a bunch of us on this thread that have cues underway and there are other Azers I'm sure.
Look at these progress photos.......this is exciting shit.........and I betcha these cues will be completed within a couple of months on one another
so a gallery of cues sure seems likely.

And Westpoint........look at my signature......what'ya think the odds are that the Balabuhska Tribute cue Jerry is making for me would have a piloted steel joint?

No matter what the odds, don't make that bet.

Matt B.

p.s Just counted the names on this thread that have cues underway.....Deanoc, DunnM1, Dr. Gonzo, skins, Kaiserman, Westpoint 1987, & Bavafongoul.

Nothing wrong with a flat faced ivory joint, either...adds some nice bling to an already beautiful cue...and that hit's not too shabby either, I'll bet!

Dean, it was a pleasure talkin to you today

Yahoo.....another Azer makes the Deans List.

Josh, your interface with Jerry is going to be the best you've ever had with a cue-maker.
He's truly delightful to work with. I look forward to seeing your cue's progress photos.

A nig DEANOC/Jerry Rauenzahn BLOWOUT

you can't beat this

It's somewhat ironic to read this. Jerry showed me some photos of an Ed Prewitt cue design he made for one of his customers
after he learned how much I wanted to find a great one. Needless to say, the cue was an absolute dead ringer for one of Ed's
cue designs.....fancy rings, gorgeous veneers and ivory joint.

Aside from the cue being really handsome, what impressed me more is what Jerry told me. He would not make the cue for the
customer unless Ed Prewitt was okay with Jerry reproducing one of Ed's cue designs for this customer. Well, no bout adout it,
this really impressed me and I thought "Gee, what a classy thing for a cue-maker to do.". He was willing to lose the order if Ed
Prewitt had any issues with Jerry reproducing his cue design which he didn't and the cue ultimately turned out to be spectacular.

Jerry talents continue to dazzle and amaze me with the photos of his cues I've seen over the last six - nine months. The Prewitt
design he made was out of this world....exactly reproduced......I was blown away. Now after reading Dean's latest news, maybe
Jerry could get Ed's okay to make just one more so rest assured my fingers & toes are crossed.

I talked to Jerry today! What a great guy! I am working out the details for a one of Bushka tribute...( I may go over budget!) lol!

Great up date for you ellas who have not yet decided

Jerry came upon some original acrylic in green'blue, and yellow

original stuff exactly like George used

What a cue you could buy!!!

I honestly asked for a green and blue myself, but jerry will not start mine until you guys have your cues
or at least they are well along

This acrylic has long been my favorite,so beautiful and so Balabushka

even a novice will spot the bushka influence

perhaps we can get the pictures up

this "10" deal is closed to the first ten that bought right?... I thought that was said in the other thread and is now closed... when and how is the drawing going to be done?

The 10 have spoken to me
when they have ordered and sent initial payments the drawing can occur

only 10 will participate

we need to have an assignment of numbers and a public posting such as powerball
with numbers 1 through 10

you guys figure out how to do this,
I suspect we are very close to the drawing

if the last 4 contact Jerry
then its time to move

best wishes to everyone

1 out of 10 is pretty good odds to win a great Jerry Rauenzahn bushka

I'm a little confused... Is it the first ten who ordered automatically or only if the first ten contact Jerry AGAIN after they already have spoken to him when their cue was initially ordered?

Please spell it out clearly...

The 10 have spoken to me
when they have ordered and sent initial payments the drawing can ........

........if the last 4 contact Jerry
then its time to move

best wishes to everyone

1 out of 10 is pretty good odds to win a great Jerry Rauenzahn bushka

I think it's always been when Jerry has ten (10) confirmed orders for cues. ....which could mean money in hand or some type of confirmation from Dean.

A verbal pledge from anyone being in as one of the ten buyers just to try and preserve a spot in the free drawing doesn't quite cut it as I understand things.....and really shouldn't either.

It's the first ten people that commit to Dean and Dean will let you know how to proceed after you initially contact him and everything thereafter. I presume no one has just
picked up the phone and said "Jerry, I'm one of the ten buyers and want to order a Bushka cue."......that would be pretty dumb to circumvent going thru Dean.

Anyway, just posting that "I'm in...or ...Count me in" should be inadequate, as would just sending Dean a PM. You need to speak with him and Dean will let you know if you're one of the ten.

If anyone hasn't followed up with Dean yet about being in this group, I urge you to do so right now.....I mean tonight, or as soon as possible, otherwise you could miss out.

Meanwhile. maybe we could give Dean & Jerry a little time to iron out the details and reconcile the cue orders etc, to confirm everything is right. The free cue drawing was an
afterthought for this project, and if it's someone's primary reason for ordering a cue, maybe this isn't the project for them. It's not like the project was desperate for a few more buyers.
Most of us already ordered our cues so maybe we should just allow Dean time to confirm whether there's 10 buyers yet and exactly whom they are.

If anyone is worried, why not jut call Dean (214-477-7323) and he lives in the Dallas, Texas.......Jeez, that dang state is so friggin' big it gets 2 time zones.

Just talked to Dean and I guess anyone who has sent a deposit AND talked to Jerry at some point is included up to the first 10 that did so... Mystery solved.. LOL...:)
