Questions

What does reasonably straight mean? How bowed is it?
If the cue was in a closet for 40 years and was built in the mid-sixties, why is it only in good condition? At what percentage would the cue be evaluated?

Alex, Pete Tascarella has seen and graded more Bushkas than anyone.
Resonably straight is not as "prefect" as perfectly straight, so my guess is he can see daylight on one side and not the other. And a cue rated good condition maybe because it may have small dings from normal use.

As information the Balabushka cue above is orginial along with the orginial wrap. This means much more to a collector than any dings or faded finish.

I just rolled the cue and the butt appears to roll straight. I couldn't see any roll off. When the cue was put together and rolled on the table one shaft had more of a wobble than the other. When rolled off the cushion the wobble is more pronounced. I think when Mr. Tascarella said reasonably straight he was referring to the fact it wasn't perfect, but not to bad.
The owner of the cue at some time sprayed the cue lightly with laquer in order to protect the inlays from loosening. Therefore it is not in original condition, but in good condition. With a refinish this cue would be great.
