junior718 said:The guy wont give it up to take to get authenticated. He will sell it tho. So I'm stuck in a position where I dont know how much to offer and I gotta buy it then authenticate it and then resell it.

Are All Pieces Straight?
Is The Finish Original?
Was Anything Modified?
All These Things Greatly Change Value. If It's All Original, Sraight And Not Modified, It Brings About 20k.
I Have Access To Two Fancier Ones That Are That Same Price Range.

The pics arent the best.

If the cue is real and you can get the letter you can get maybe $15K for the cue. Are you willing to risk the $10K it is probably going to take to get it from your friend? My guess is since he turned down $7000 it will take at least that much to get it from him. You could take Pete to him since you all live near each other. But once Pete tells him what it is worth you won't get it for $10K unless you agree up front that if Pete says it is that he will sell it to you for that amount. Then you would only be risking the amount Pete would charge to go there with you. The man got the cue after Bushka was gone so he really does not know for a fact it is a Bushka himself. He bought it as one on the used market and has always believed he was told the truth when he bought it. I bought a cue that really caught some peoples eyes. It even kept Billy Schick looking at it for some time to decide it was not a Bushka. Another collector of Bushkas decided it was most likely a Richard Black bushka copy unsigned. So not everything that glitters is gold. But I did not risk $10K to find out either.junior718 said:He is sick and stubborn and wont let me take him or the cue to Pete. I know for a fact that he has been offered $7k cash in fornt of him and turned it down about 6-7 years ago. He has owned the cue for more then 20years also. I am almost certain it is real but dont know how much to offer. I'd buy it and bring it to Pete but I dont know what the value is.
